So, I'm sitting in my tank ready to fire a crippling blow to an unsuspecting foe (as rare as it is), when suddenly, I get a message that someone wants to join me....It covers the middle of screen...Before I know it, I'm done like dinner as my opponent strike's...The only way I know to remove the offending message is to bring up the clipboard, grab the mouse and quickly move it to the "Decline" box and click...Too late for me, but, is there a quick way to say, "Buzz off"?
If not, then why must this message pop up in the middle of the screen?....

dot command " .showjoin 0 " stops all join request popups.

Type into your radio box .showjoin 0
This will make the join message come up in the radio box instead of a pop up box.
on edit: drat, lusche beat me to it...

Thank you, Oh Great One.... ;)

Oddly enough, sometimes the .showjoin 0 gets un-set. Sometimes you have to re-employ its use once in a while. It does reduce the annoyance factor, though!

oddly enough this isn't the default. I was annoyed by this myself while flying a 262. The result was a parachute. If the person has been polite and asked than the host will know they are coming and look in the text buffer. No need for screen covering announcement that some unmannerly noob would like a ride.
So move this to the wishlist and wish the large game ending join announcement to the versions of old.
