INVASION:  THEY'RE COMING

In the months leading up to D-Day,the Allied tactical
air forces strike coastal targets and airfields,
softening the Continent for the coming invasion.

Great setup and fun last night.....just couldn't get all of you guys to stop drinking beer in the O'Club and come outside & play.   :lol

The 1942 Merlin 61 Spitfire F.Mk IX would be appropriate for a Diepe setting, not a D-Day setting, I am not sure any were even in frontline service anymore by the lead up to D-Day.  The Spitfire Mk XVI would be the appropriate Spitfire for D-Day. (If it makes you feel better, the Spitfire Mk XVI in AH is actually a Spitfire LF.Mk IXe)

That said, for balance purposes, I can see why you omitted it.  I'd think the Bf109G-14 might be a useful substitution for the Bf109G-6/AS though.

He said "patrolling" not "defending" ya goof!   :D. We had to go clear across the channel, make a lot of noise off shore so you guys would quite drinking beer in the O'club, come out, and play.   :salute
