Title: Duelling Arena Message (Second Request)

Today during a private duelling session at A23/24 in the DA an interloper arrived and disrupted the duels (as often happens). I explained the field was in use and that it was a private fight but he wouldn't leave. Several other players at the lake joined in the conversation, asking where it said the non-furbal lake airfields were intended for private duels. Several players even suggested if we wanted to duel we should set up a private arena.  :rolleyes:

Eventually my duelling partner telephoned HTC, and Skuzzy even came into the DA to explain the intentions of the various areas in the DA. I have to say a big hats off to Skuzzy who has the patience of a saint. He had to answer several questions such as 'did he work for HTC', etc. and even had to deal with players arguing with him about the rules and purpose of the arena, telling him since they were paying customers they could do what they wanted. One guy even asked Skuzzy for lessons, since he was there to 'learn dogfighting'.  :lol

Although the discussion was one of the funniest and entertaining incidents I have had in Aces High so far, could we please please please please please please please please please please please have the duelling arena message reinstated explaining the intention of the side fields being for private duelling and explaining the consequences of ignoring those rules. At least then we could direct players to the message and not sound arrogant etc.


P.S. Skuzzy, our offer was genuine, you are more than welcome anytime to join one of our friendly duelling sessions  :salute

I tell people ill call hitech and have him ban them from the arena if try dont leave  :devil

Yep, I agree. The arena message never should have been taken off IMO.

Not sure if it would help, though, as I feel most of the DA regulars are incapable of reading and comprehension.

I always thought it would be cool if we could use .duel again and therefore receive no damage from other planes nor could we give damage to other planes other than who we were .dueling against.
