(Another year, another thread. Picking up from our last recruitment thread http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,284615.0.html )

The Pigs on the Wing is actively recruiting interested players! We're looking for mature, free-loving, fellow-minded swine wanting to contribute themselves and their free-time playing this wonderful game online to our ever-growing pen. If you have a suggestion for a candidate or are an interested candidate yourself please contact Waystin2 or myself (inGameID: Babalon). There are many ways you can choose to communicate with us or ask any questions that you may have: PM via Aces High Forum. PM via POTW Forum ( http://www.pigsonthewing.org/forums/index.php ), responding to this thread, or PM via in-game if we're online in any arena.

The Pigs participate in most all areas of AH! The WWI, EW, MW, & LW arenas. As well as the AvA, Scenarios, eXtreme Air Racing bracket, Dueling League brackets and many other community or private special events. The Pigs can always be found in the Late War arenas making life misserable for the red guys. We furball, we GV, we bomb, we defend, we pork - anywhere there is a big red dar bar in knightland, you will find us. The best part is, there are no required activities - you do what makes you happy!

There are only a few basic requirments that even to us swine see as being reasonable:
1) must have a mic so vox communication is possible but at your discretion [or not, don't be shy!]
2) no two-week free trial accounts/players
3) willing to repeatedly have fun participating with us against the red guys while in Knightland
4) no squeekers! - most of us work too hard or just put our own to bed for the night to then put up with it online - and in general there is no slated age requirement as we have had previous experience with squeekers of all ages - this requirement is the one that can take 10-minutes or 10-days to pass in our squad, as generaly the test is given in how well you get along with most of us on VOX and how well we all get along with you. It is almost impossible without throwing you into the pen to know if you have the right balance of maturity and immaturity to stick around and enjoy yourself as much as we repeatedly enjoy each others company online.

All POTW members are friendly and eager to help answer questions about the game or our own squad during any time online that you may have available to join us. Fantastic work last night to everyone on the Knights that participated with the Free Birds and us Pigs on turning their lights out and flattening the strats twice within two hours last night!

I straffed that ChooChoo last night at the HQ.

That ChooChoo's AI gunner handed me my shorts with a big GoBooooommmmmm for all my trouble flying to that HQ.

FBCrabby bought it sooner diving into the strat next to the HQ. There was so much ack he kinda disintagrated.

The only thing that needs to be culled is red guys. Come get some bacon anytime you think you are up for it. :aok

I upped a formation of 29's on Sunday night and flew nearly all the way around the map. After 2 hours of flight, on my return to base I called for gunner on Pig channel.

Semp stepped up.

We were out an engine on the primary bird and the secondary bird...bird 3 was still full up. We were low on fuel, with well over 150 miles to get home.

I had the RPM to 22 and Manifold at 35...nursing it in..ground speed 275 and altitude 16k under the scud layer...we dropped on two more bases after he joined.

Semp got a kill about 75 miles from home...couple of quick bursts on the 20mm tail got him...

35 miles out, and with only 7 minutes of fuel left we rolled the dice and took a cut in the hills to try landing 88.

The same guy Semp killed the first time came back while we were trying to coast home in the cut. Semp killed him AGAIN..

Whew....but...with the field barely in sight...the engines cut...

After a short right cross controlled dead stick approach...all three 29's were returned to the hanger.

Us 43,000 damage points

Total flight time: 2:55:17

I would never have been able to make it home without Semp

I have returned from vacation, the pile of paperwork waiting to be processed on my desk from before I left has been burned so that the supply clerk can use its ashes to pigment the new batch of ink he's currently creating so that I can sign the order to burn the pile of paperwork currently waiting on my desk thats been ammased since I left. If you submitted anything for processing during any time and still haven't recieved a reply, please resubmit them at your soonest convenience, we're starting our winter firewood drive early this year.

It was fun...except the part where my joystick cable worked loose from the throttle base ever so slightly and I found myself flying 5 miles in the wrong direction until I figured it out

This independent pilot flew tonight with Babalon and JoeTools of the Pigs on a cross map / seam attack 250 miles into to enemy territory...just to piss off and rattle the cage at the bishop and rook fight

Go where the Dar Bar is...no matter how long it takes to get there..that's how I roll...and Joe and Babalon were in classic Pig form.."lets go go get some...we are in with ya"...

Babalon flew the 51D...and Joe gunned my 17G's

Classic Pig Style...seamless work...operationally effective

Sweet run...

For the record, took a pony because the ground crew still hasn't figured out how to strap 5 drop tanks to the Dora. I haven't flown a pony for that long of a duration in months, landed with 12 gallons left, very fun ride.

If you are looking for a cozy little squad to fly with this would be the one, just be warned I am not to far behind with a set of cleavers (kiddin)
