Title: Hey Tuk
Post by: Molsman on August 20, 2011, 03:43:02 AM
Tuk

I have a question how can I zoom in with doing effects with the fire balls from the planes? here 2 shots altered for the sky but I would like to make the explosion alittle more realistic and alter it a little. Top pic is original and bottom is altered

Thanks

If your using gimp try to use "smudge" and u can get the flames to look alot better like this

In gimp there is a pattern you can use. It looks like a small fireball.  Instead of using the pen, switch to pencil and try it out. Place random size fire circles in the area you want to burn. After that smudge them a bit to make them look real.
I am leaving for a gun show now. I will post some step by step stuff as soon as I return saturday afternoon.
