This season is much better than last, but they still have some work to do. At least they are letting them rewrite the episodes instead of trying to do a word for word copy. The Mojave episode actually didn't suck.
BTW, the new season of Top Gear starts tonight on BBC America.

Although I must lament that the American Top Gear might be a good show if we didn't have the original to compare it to...
I saw a used car episode a few weeks ago that copied the BBC one challenge for challenge except it wasn't entertaining. They should be taking the time to do better challenges like instead of putting eggs in a collander and driving down a bumpy road, I would have had a Rabbi in the backseat with a baby boy.
I hope it can be more like the office where they were forced to do their own writing and hopefully it will become a great show. I don't think that this is possible as long as Richard, Jeremy and James are together though since they just have that 1 in a million chemistry/toxicity towards each other. I mean seriously, History Channel took a show that is basically equivalent to 7 superbowls, every week and tried to make a better version of it geared towards an American Audience. I wish I could figure out why they think americans will like the knock off more than the original that still gets 350 million viewers each week in well over 100 countries.
