Wow.  The experience alone of gliding up that high would be a rush, but having a hawk coming in that close that high would just add to the excitment.

It really isn't hawking, and the bird isn't a hawk...

Looks like fun though.

The thing I wonder about is whether this is to help with the situation this bird is in (endangered) or whether it's to just turn a profit?

often when we fly sailplanes we look for hawks circling and I haven't been that close but one got within 10 feet of our glider

Once had a small dogfight with an Ospray , he took offense to my r/c plane   :)
It was a draw  .

technically that is a vulture, not a hawk
