Little girl has gone to college. Full ride. She's a beast: calloused hands, smart, beautiful, and so much better than all of us. Here's what she'll be about. The vid is from Cal's 2005 NCAA championship win.

In a word, she is "excellent." 8 girls, one goal: go fast. let 'em see your stern the back of your cox' jersey.
Yup, proud Papa, me.

Congrats to your daughter Hap! That is so cool!
We were just down at the UW boat house in WA state yesterday. My current boss used to be the person that 'coached' them from the back. (forgot the name he used...)
My 15 year old oldest son plays Lacrosse and played in several tournaments this summer on a traveling Elite Lax team. He's already got 1 college letter that has interest in him as a freshman in high school! He has a promising future with 3 years left before he graduates. Lacrosse as a sport isn't cheap though, we have already spent $7000 this year to date in tournament fees, travel, hotel, etc.
There is no 'full ride' in lacrosse generally speaking. They are lucky to get 1 maybe 2 years on a scholarship, but good interest rates for the remaining student loans.

Stroker . . . then we know. I don't know about you, but it's humbling. She's so much better than I. Is that how it goes?

Yeah I think thats the way it should be...I always have wanted my kids to be better than I am. If everyone would raise thier kids like that then the world would be a better place!
