My car nitro car got stolen! I ran it this morning before I got on the bus and when I came home it was in the back of the garage by the door, I closed it behind me and I guess my sister went out a few minutes later to go to her friends house and left the door open. I come down about an hour later and its gone! All thats left is the body shell, the fuel is gone, the starter kit box with the 30 dollar laser thermometer, the car itself and the transmitter. All gone!
I only had it for 4 days and a day ago I finally broke it in right, I mean this is kind of unexpected. We filed a report with the police on grand theft because the car is above is a certain value but the officer said it was most likely being sold, and when I asked my neighbors who I suspect hang out with the people who I think could have done it, she said that they were talking about how they would break it and destroy it if they could get their hands on it cause I guess the noise was to much. So even if it wasn't sold its gone, its broken somewhere.

SONOFA :bhead
I'm sorry Raptor.
I hope the miscreants that stole your stuff catch a particularly vile flesh eating bacteria.
I mean that.

Scan your local craig list/classified for your car. :old:

We went to every house in the neighborhood, nobody saw anything cause it happened while people were at work, I think I have to write it off, the only lead I had said that there were a few guys saying how annoyed they were with it and wish they could break it til it didn't work. and we couldn't get an answer from the people who were named.

What do you mean

he means go looking around on local ads and see if someone is selling a car that strangely looks exactly like yours that got stolen. (crooks are usually pretty stupid)

The main one who's been vandalizing my neighborhood has been at it for 4 years straight since I moved it, he's never been caught. I kept hearing its him but he denied and his dad did too. Its over, its gone, its missing the shell so they would have a hard time selling it and having a ad come up of only the body

It's either sombody you bragged to about it, maybe not a friend, but sombody that wasn't in school today, sombody that came around the house....maybe gas, trash, water, electric company or it's the neighbor that was really peeved that you were running it @ 10:00. I doubt they will try and sell it on craigslist. My suggestion to you would be to go to your hobby store and see who might just be buying a body for your particular model of car or asking how they can get it started since you have had problems with it. Even if you catch the person you won't be able to prove much unless you can identify it by it's serial number. Still have the paper work on it? If you do make a copy of it. Leave it with the people at the local hobby stores. If it comes in then they will most likley give you a call when they identify it. Then you can nab them. :aok

Have your parents call their Homeowners insurance carrier, Its covered as a theft of personal property. Depending on what their deductible is, might be worth it. (and let them know its not like car insurance, their premiums wont go thru the roof for putting in a claim)
Sorry to hear about this young sir :salute

Sorry to hear about this. Yesterday, some A-HOLE back right into the side of my jeep. They put a huge dent right behind the front right tire not hitting the door (thank god). It was a pick-up truck from what my neighbore told me who saw a person looking at my jeep 8 in the morning and then quickly took off in a hurry. He never got the tag of the truck.

I hate thieves. Do you have any paperwork on the car like a manual or receipt with the serial number? If so, do like Frenchy said and check Craigslist, local pawn shops, hobby shops, ect for somebody selling that car. I've recovered stolen guns that way.
Good luck. Keep your stuff locked up and tell your Dad to get a surveillance system. They've hit you once and will be back for more free stuff.

This is sound advice. Probably your best bet.

As others have said check everything take copys of your paper work to the pawn shops, they dont have to tell you if it was pawned but they do have to report it to the police. Punks are stupid they wont destroy it if they think they cann sell it. Got my 2 band enfield back by keeping my eyes open. Good luck.
-
Just checked with all the pawn shops in this area, and in the 2 neighboring counties, nothing but they will keep their eyes open.

Thanks, but at this point I'm just going to have to get another one, i'm seeing if I can get a discount if I get the same exact car if I re-buy it. This time i'll leave it in my room after runs and my parents want to install a security system.

Buy a large cookie pan, the kind that has about 1/2inch sides. There will always be gooey oily drippy stuff dripping, even if you think you have it cleaned up well after using it. You don't want to get that stuff on your carpet or wood floors.

I'm thinking about catching the guys in the act, I want to annoy them some more with the car and leave the door open, and have the car not in there this time but have them caught on tape. If I can get these 2 loosers caught the home owners will be able to breathe easy, these guys have broken into cars and houses recently in the past 6 months, alot of what they have done has come to the light recently. My parents desperately want to move out of here but the economy is keeping us stuck in hell unfortunately
