Fellas,
My computer suffered a catastrophic failure! I had to reformat and reinstall Windows XP home. I have the on board sound which is Realtek HD audio and I also have Creative X-Fi soundblaster sound card. Evidently I'm not getting any sound thru my headphones because there is a conflict with both sound cards.......How would I remedy this situation? I ask only because I don't want to go uninstalling drivers or what have you and screw up my computer again.
I do not use computer speakers but only use a Logitech headset with boom mic. Would anyone here care to take the time to type out what I need to do get my sound? Which of the cards would you use? The Realtek or the Soundblaster?
Mucho gracias fellas

If you're using a sound card, you should disable the on-board sound from within your BIOS settings.

It would be something like on-board devices or Pnp Possible....
