I have been looking at that one, I like it, but I found this one and started it.....If no one else tackles that one when my plate is more empty I will take it on...I also like the first one you posted "Nancy lee" I really like that one for some reason.
the guy who flew this was David Lee "tex" hill, someone describes this plane as showing more bare metal then paint....figure right up my alley :D

I wouldn't mind trying the blue-banded nose variant. It looks rather awesome! Time permitting, is the issue.
So I'll just say this: I'll put it on my to-do list. First time I've had the option to do a P-51 since they've been full so long. If in that time it gets done by anybody else, so be it. I'll stop my work. However, until then I'll work on it.

P-51D-20-NA, 44-72322, E6 A flown by Lt. Richard Baggett of 402FS, 370FG, May 1945 out of Gutersloh, Germany. Paint scheme is bare metal overall with blue anti-glare panel in front of the cockpit with blue prop spinner and a blue diagonal stripe on the tail. There is text on the nose that reads "Nancy Lee", who was his daughter born July 1944, on the left side and on the right side of the nose is sexy noseart of a large breasted lady with black hair.
Lt. Richard L. Baggett was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He completed primary training in Santa Ana, basic training at Oxnard, and graduated at Williams Field, Arizona. He was then assigned to the 402nd F.S., arriving at Andover in June of 1944. He was among the first pilots to fly the first napalm mission in July. When reequipped in February '45 the squadron painted the spinner, nose, antiglare, under canopy and stripe on tail blue the squadron color. Lt. Baggett was with the squadron until the end at Gutersloh, Germany. He received the DFC for a bombing mission to Cologne, Germany, destroying a train carrying tanks and other war material. He also holds the Air Medal with 10 OLC’s and the Belgian and French Croix de Guerre. He ended the war with 66 combat missions.
"Nancy Lee" became a Swiss Mustang on 2/4/48 #J-2048 and was crashed near Lachen and withdrawn from service in 1954.

Tyrannis: I still have an SBD-5 skin partially completed. It's been on hold for a while, but my intent is to get it done now rather than wait for the 3D shape to be updated.
Lyric: The last one of the series: Shark-mouthed B with heavy weathering on the rivets.

This pilot goes MIA the same mourning in the same area in the same squad flying P51B-7NA 43-7016 C3- "Frisco Kid" who's regular pilot is R.D. Kunz I believe these two men were winging or flying in the same space, neither in their assigned plane, if they had 1, and could have possible collided. One lived and evaded the other died and was buried by the germans. Both thought to have been shot down.
On War Birds Radio there is said to be an radio interview with George Brooks but after registering there I cant figure out how to play it.
1stLt. George Brooks enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force in 1942 and was called up in March 1943. Classified as a pilot, George learned to fly P-51 Mustangs and was sent overseas where he joined the 382nd Fighter Squadron of the 363rd Fighter Group, 9th Air Force based in France. George flew five combat missions before being shot down during a dawn patrol near Argentan, France on August 13, 1944. Despite an injured arm and leg, he managed to evade capture and made his way to friendly lines. After three weeks of recovery in a British hospital, George found that the 363rd had been converted to a Tactical Reconnaissance Group. After bouncing around for three months he was assigned to the 9th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron flying Mustang P-51B 44-13525 8O-Y "Kansas Aggie" He finished the war with 80 weather recon missions. 85 missions total and was awared the DFC
Lt.George Brooks P-51D 44-13525 8O-Y 9th WRS "Kansas Aggie" / "Ginny"
Sgt Nance – c/c

He named it "Kansas Aggie" latter with his 2 kill markings. He had 2 with the 363FG ( credit as unconf. Destroyed) and one JU-52 with this squadron.

George Brooks was the father of my best friend. He took me flying when I was about 12 years old and I'll never forget the excitement of that day. A few years ago, I contacted George to see if he might be interested in participating in a project that is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) called "Timeless Voices of Aviation". He agreed to do the interview and it can be seen at the following link:
http://www.eaavideo.org/video.aspx?v=76469521001
Just last month, George passed away and was buried with military honors. I was able to attend his funeral and say goodbye to a dear old friend. Rest in peace George.
