Title: CPU monitoring...
Post by: BigR on September 04, 2011, 03:22:53 PM
Does anyone know of a CPU monitoring program that can be overlaid on top of games? Kind of like what FRAPS does, but with info like CPU temps and % utilized?

BigR,

You cant overlay using any program that i know of, but if you have a keyboard with a small screen like the logitech g510 you can use the built in programing that it has. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.

If you're able to run dual monitors you can do it.  Have your game on one and the CPU monitoring on the other.
I don't know of anything that will actually display on top of the game though.

you can only do it in 2 monitors.  or get a keyboard that supports it.

I use Aida64 to monitor things. It's compatible with my Logitech G-15 keyboard that has a little lcd display on it. In the display I have Aida64 showing CPU load, Vcore, CPU clock speed, Memory load, GPU load, CPU Temp, Mobo Temp, GPU Temps and GPU fan load. All at the same time. Like a little dashboard.

bigr speedfan has an option to log whatever readings you want to save.  and you can always open the log while playing and look how the cpu is doing.

If you have an Nvidia motherboard Nvidia system monitors will run on top of anything.
