Ok so it is a bug. I wonder why norton didn't catch it? Its called txt enhance and when I'm surfing the blog keywords are colored green and if your cursour gets near it it gives a small pop up add for things like Insurance.

I have purposefully clicked on BS download links to see if norton would pick them up. Ends up norton is a POS.

Norton will slow your system down also, get AVG it finds everything and it has a gamming mode.

ya, norton...they used to be pretty good motorcycles. any anti-xxxx program that symantec has put out in the last 10 years is pure stinking manure, sometimes worse than most malware.

I would remove AVG from your system.  If you're going to go the freeware route, Avast is far superior and less intrusive than AVG.  AVG, like ZoneAlarm, are the Norton of freeware anti-virus programs.

ESET is going away in November.

If your running Windows 7 then Microsoft Security Essentials works surprisingly well.

Because Norton should be the first virus you clean off of your system

Source?

Quoted for truth.

Just remember that simply using the un-installer Symantec provides DOES NOT undo all the damage done when Norton is installed.  You have to go to Symantec's WEB site and get a separate tool to fix all the damage left behind after you remove Norton.

I wish Intuit had a tool like that as well.

I'd be very unhappy if that happened

Considering ESET just released a public BETA, it would be a bit surprising to me as well.

Was ESET purchased by another company?

I'v never had a problem with AVG and I dont use the freeware, I have used Avast in the past but for me I like AVG.

Just FYI.  AVG has caused a lot of problems, from time to time, with Aces High.  I used to like AVG, but they seem to have hired someone from Norton as the approach is beginning to look familiar.

The overhead is getting pretty high and it is not catching things it should and catching things it should not.
