Sorry but that is as many as I could get ... many rods here closed down due to flooding and high water..

I know Texas needs this more than we do..and there other places that are worse than we are.. so I do feel lucky right now.

I wonder what it would have looked like if they didn't remove the wall between east and west Berlin?   :devil

I'll post pictures later, but that's pretty much the same thing I'm seeing here in Lancaster, PA.

My basement/room has been turned into a swimming pool.  :(

The Conestoga river looks like the Susquehanna river... anyone living on the Conestoga and not on a hill is screwed.

What's strange is to have rivers here in St Louis that are still high (just recently dropping back down to normal levels) but yet we haven't seen any rain here all summer.  All of our lawns are a nice tan/brown color but it sure is nice to not have to mow it!  I haven't had to cut my grass in over ten weeks now!

At least we have rivers here to draw water from.  I can't imaging what you guys are dealing with down in texas!

Had to drive to Wilkes Barre today and get my Mother, she was being evacuated, her house is about 2000ft from the river. In all my years ive never seen the Susquehanna as angry as she is right now. Moms here, high and dry (and safe thank god) and all her belongings are on the 2nd floor of the house, so fingers crossed she wont loose much (she has flood insurance, the advantages of having a son in the Insurance industry  :D) My sister in Bloomsburg is thankfully up in the hills of Scotch Valley, but they are thinking about 1/2 of the city proper will be flooded. They think the Susquehanna will crest at 42ft a record flood stage in Wilkes Barre, which is about 18" higher than the levees built after the city was wiped out during the '72 Hurricane Anges flood. Hope they are wrong  :pray

Yeah LawnDart, take your meds and stay inside tonight. I think F22raptor, said he'd volunteer if you need to sacrifice a virgin to apease the rain god. I know some idiot is going to want to go play in that fast moving water. You Texans, have something in the gulf ,but looks like Mexico is gonna steal it. Anyways, joking aside stay safe.

Ivan and MBaily thanks .. right now it is fine I am aprox 200 feet above the Conewago so I'm safe but there are people that aren't so lucky. Rain has stopped and river is slowly receding, now comes the part of clean-up. I hope everyone in affected areas is going to be OK.
