Currently we have the CV group in various forms,it acts as a mobile airbase,it does not act like a land based airbase as far as damage to it is concerned...you either kill the carrier or you dont, with the carrier down,pt boats and lvts can still launch...ok...let keep it like that but add a few things to the cv group....like the sea hurricane, or the duplex drive amphib sherman tank,or amphib jeep or VW or truck, and im not sure but can vehicles spawn to beach when close enough even if they are not near a base?....and lets give the cruiser a new capability...to be able to launch float planes...like the AR-196,Aichi E134,or the curtiss sea hawk...these can carry bombs and some have cannons as well as machine guns...could be useful when Carrier is down and attacking a base and as a side note the bf-109t carrier plane was never based on a carrier or used as a seaplane..so a NO to the bf-109t

if cv is down you should be able to launch any planes. besides float planes to attack a base really?

OH NO! semp is now confused.....its ok semp,it will pass, just hold on,we will send someone

Sea Hurricane: I think we need to remodel the current Hurricane first, perhaps in a few years. I'd much rather get a late-war Seafire.
Sherman: As far as I understand it does not float, but drives underwater with an air intake sticking up. So you will still need to get it to the shore somehow. The same goes to the jeep and the truck.
VW: What is that? Volkswagen?
Spawning on the beach: Why would you want to spawn a tank when your not near a base?
Float planes: +1. But as they would be easy targets and be used only for defense I think this can wait a few years.

Your request is indeed hard to understand, you basically have a ~160 word sentence with 10+ requests.

If the CV was sunk, either the defenders had a crappy commander at the time or the offenders had a great offense. Usually it is the latter of that. With that in mind, launching slow, mangly floatplanes into the mix is just going to create a sea-side vulchfest. Plus they would become hangar queens

You don't want free kills? :devil

Floatplanes would add more depth to Battle of the Atlantic and Pacific SEA events. Arado 196 certainly isn't a bad choice, twin 20mm still pack a punch despite the poor ballistics. Sea Hurricanes would act as a substitue for a Zeke (the only real dedicated TnBer on a CV). The Japanese also had a N1K floatplane variant, which is a nice alternative for a cannon bird, although it performs worse than a CHog. All these planes would probably have an ENY of 20+. Which sure is a better alternative for getting perks than an A6M2 or a F4U1. If these were added, I'd definately pick them to fly CAP over the CV.

there forgot the not.
but seriously alpini, you want to add planes that carry 50 lbs bombs what exactly are you planing to kill with those 2 50lb bombs in the ar 196. do you think it will be able to get close enough to kill what an ack, and they loiter around and well, do nothing. the Aichi E134 can carry a 250 lb bomb and then that's it, the mg that it has will do nothing else. so both of these planes would be basically useless. and I believe the seahawk only saw actiion after 6/1945, i believe.
sea planes were mostly used for scouting, which doesnt really happen in the game.

OK to clarify for those having a challenge grasping the concept....the amphib vw is the Schwimwagen, the amphib truck is the DUKW (colloquially known as duck)...there was an amphib version of the jeep.....the sherman amphib know as the DD(duplex drive ) DID float...it was the one with the big green canvas thing around it that lowered and raised to make it float...used in italy landings and d-day landings.....the other aircraft are just sugestions, there were many float planes available in ww2...and since we have so many aircraft and vehicles in this game that should not be here over other those that are not...like the TA152,P-47N,wirblewind,ostwind(all due to low production numbers and limited combat action) and we do not have things like KI-43,KI-44,J2M,G55,MIG3.YAK-3,P-63,D520,etc.....i was sugesting an upgrade to CV capabilities and ride availability.....the seafire 3 and sea hurricane would be nice additions to the A/C hangar.

float planes are not upgrades to the cv as they will seldom be used for other than wanting to die. nobody is going to up a float plane to go scout when there's faster planes that can do the same thing and also fight with them.

You need to read up on your history, as you have only partial understanding. The tanks that drove on the bottom were "deep wading" Shermans like this one:

The "DD" or Duplex-Drive Sherman used a canvas screen to displace enough water to float. The tank itself was completely underwater but some of the canvas screen remained above water and kept it boyant enough to move across the water obstacle. The problem is that it was designed for waves up to 1 foot, but during D-Day at Normandy they were encountering 6 foot seas in many cases, with sinkings often resulting.

The Jeeps and trucks he was referring to are true amphibians, designed to be boats as well as trucks.

id rather see that the graphic model of the task groups gets updated rather than add "floating" tanks and floating planes.

You do realize that it got updated about a year ago, and it looked exactly the same for the previous 10 years. So I seriously doubt it will be updated in the near future.
