Title: now i don't know
Post by: CAP1 on September 17, 2011, 08:10:23 PM
if i REALLY wanna sell my camaro.

got a guy called me yesterday about my camaro. i'm not really selling it because i don't want it, but rather that i want a street car....in particular my new mustang gt MORE. i am unfortunately  not in a position to have all of the toys i want, all at the same time, hence the camaro going up for sale.
he's coming tomorrow at noon to look at it, and the dood sounds VERY interested in her. so tonight, i went out in the garage, and cleared all the crap away from the car, and charged the battery, checked to be sure there was still some fuel in the cell, and fired her up.  :x muuuuuuussssssssiiiiiiccccccc!!!!  :rock

i gotta sell her though.......it'll be a good chunk of change to help with the down payment.

I know what a fanboy is.

With a name like "olds442" I'm pretty sure you could be considered a fanboy.

His Camaro isn't a 5th gen, it's a purpose built drag racer.  Sucker needs to go to make way for a proper street car that works well as a racer.   Sell it  :)

input from a man who understands i think.  :aok

the guy was asking all the right questions, and didn't flinch at anything i told him, including the price. and that price is a steal, considering it's much less than the engine alone cost to have built.

ya know? when i was young, i had a 64 galaxy 500 convertible. i friggin loved that land yacht. but back then, i had a pony tail nearly down to my ass. do you know how friggin HARD it is to keep your dam hair out of the way with the top down?

now, i'm older, going bald, and have short hair. do you know how much i wish i still had the hassles of having all of my hair?  :rofl

Just curious what times do you normally run in her?

tuned conservatively, we ran anywhere from 10.0's to 10.30's, depending on the weather. we never adjusted her every weekend like most do. when we tuned her properly, she dropped into the 9.90's.

BMW = "Bring My Wallet"

I have to agree though.  As much as I'm a Ford Fanboi I say keep the Camaro and forget about the new 'stang.

2: chevy z71 2500 silvirodo
3: shelby cobra gt 500
4: HE177  :D
5: a old bronco that i would put 44's on and ditroit locker in the rear and a ARB in front
