Since my Jays are long since out, I have to hope for the Tigers too.  The Blue Jays are in the division of death, with the Yanks, Rays, Red Sox to always contend with, I don't think we'll ever see the playoffs again.

Back in the mid 80's my dad took my on a 6 day drive to Detroit to see a few Tigers games after much pestering and pleading to see my favorite team in action.  The first game was full of strange incidents.  We were real early for the game, and were some of the only people save a guy and his yappy g/f in left field area during batting practice.  I had just finished saying she should keep her eyes on the field with all the balls dropping into our area, and SMACK she took one right off the forehead and was gone for the night. 

Then sometime mid game, some crazy pilot in his private Jet, something like a mid size Learjet, BUZZED the stadium, like dipping RIGHT into the stadium and then pulling out.  I still remember watching it and seeing the pilot's head in the window.  Turns out he was drunk and got into a LOT of trouble.  Looking back it could have been really awful, as I'd noticed that there was an intricate system of tall chain link gates that was used to lock people out/herd them etc...if the plane had crashed and started a large fire it would have been really tough getting a rushing surging crowd out of there before it burned down.

Anyhow go Tigers, go Verlander and go Cabrera!

I'm for Texas and if we can hold it together for 9 more games it's playoff time for the second year in a row!!!
