Title: screen went to black game crashes

was playing and my screen went all black, now when i try to go online the game crashes. had this happen once before and it was a bad file, but do not rember wich one ant body have a glue

Try removing the video8.cfg file and remember:

Another thing to be aware of.  Any abnormal game crash could corrupt a configuration file and once that happens every time the game tries to use it, it could cause the game to crash.

Move the "settings" folder out of the way after any abnormal game crash in order to do proper debugging.

Also note, if you are running any anti-anything type of program, those can cause game crashes and config corruption as well.
