I've loved radials since I was a little kid and I heard my first radial fire up.
Back in the day they use to base A26 water bombers at the local airport during the summer. I miss those beautiful old birds.

That's child's play.
At the Hill AFB museum they have a cutaway of a R-4360. 4 rows. 28 cylinders. Thousands of moving parts. It's pretty crazy to think they designed and built something that complex with a drafting table and pencil. Long before the days of CAD and CNC milling.
