Theres been times in the past in low pop arenas like ww1 arena (where an enemy to fight is not a certainty) where once in a while I've deliberately flown into a noobs guns and tried to walk my plane into their randomly spraying gunnery after killing them several times and taking pitty on them.
Ive found the alternative of shooting them down until they log off to be less satisfying and much less challenging.
I'm sure they enjoy it more too.

I let people get on my six...I try to not let them kill me. :)

Best way to hook players on a game is make sure they "win" occasionally. It's a proven psychological effect and one of the reasons gambling can be so addictive. So you are actually helping the future of the game palyerbase by doing what you're doing.

Yes. Back in AW, and in here. New players and vets alike. With the vets, it's usually happens with me ending up in an accidental ditch after losing a great fight, so instead of ending the flight, I'll wait on the ground so they can strafe me and get credit for a kill.
-
If I'm shot up, and somehow still flying, I'll sometimes say "free kill" on 200. At that point in particular after a good fight, why not ? :)
-
If I find a noob, I have, and still will, hold fire (or ping with a BB or two) and just fly around to give him stick time and a fight. I've been shot down (not on purpose :lol) on occasion, but I think it's more the fight and the attitude you show that the game isn't just about the quick kill.
-
This is exactly what more players should do. This Game can be very frustrating before that first kill.
I don't play it safe. It's fun to push the limits and try things that wouldn't be smart in the real world. I kill but in return supply kills for others instead of being a safe alt monkey worrying constantly about impacting my score. :cry
Those that whine about getting killed are really whining about their score. :furious
Some will brag about their K/D ratio but are never there to support an operation or stick their neck out for others always seeking the easy kill.

I firmly maintain that I do this every time I get shot down.
I'm a very generous person.

Every time I get shot down it's on purpose . :noid

When losing a fight against multiple foes, I will dodge the 5 ENY tard(s) much harder than say an F6F. Even though he has the same numbers advantage, it is preferable to give the kill to the pilot that's not in an EZ-mode machine.

if im ever turreted in a tank i really could care less about, ill just sit around in the open. why wait for supps when you can just get a new tank right away?
-
Sure. All the time. That's why I die so much. :noid

A couple of times. Had 2 converging gv spawns and this one player kept spawning on top of a rise pointing away from me. After a few kills and his dogged repeatedly respawning I gave him a few close dirt kicking shots and the time to get his turret around. Doesn't happen often, but it happens. More times than not if I have a good fire exchange with a tank and I turret him, I will let him exit instead of finishing him off. I don't know if it's cause I hate to get buttshot trying to get away when it happens to me, or I figure he won't respawn as fast if he has to take the time to drive away. Either way, just a fun game overall.
.
on another note, best kill shot I have seen this tour. M4 on hill 3.4k away, my m4 in one of the half burned up houses firing at him thru a window, he lays a round right thru the window and nails me. Chugamug, that shot should be framed, but I didn't have film running.

If I get into a fight with someone who keeps running then sometimes I turn and let them on my 6. Then I fly around letting them shoot at me, it's good practice for them. After a few turns I'll reverse on them and get on their 6. I don't shoot though, I just hope they see what I did to get on their tail and learn a little. Then I let them back on my 6 and continue until they run out of ammo or one of us runs out of fuel.
I really hope those 5-10 minutes of flying with them aren't wasted, I want to see them in the skies again getting into fights rather than turning and running. :salute

I will let someone kill me just to find out who they ware when they are the lamer type that gets bested in a 1v1 then runs til a friend shows up , then as I engage their buddy they reverse to try to kill me 2v1. I kill the buddy as the 1st con re-enters the fight and pings me attempting to pick , then he runs back to base again and I auger so I can mock him on 200

To avoid the HO or giving up a shot doing HO avoidance, I'll turn my 6 on targets a lot of times and let them attack from the rear. This gives me opportunties to work on my rolls and overshoots and snapshots.
-
Isn't going into a multi-on-one basically "letting them kill you on purpose" (even if they're not successful)?
Or letting them have the high ground?
Or flying a spit?
I look at it like leading a horse to water. "You can set them up to kill you, but you can't make them kill".
-
I don't think I have ever let anyone kill me on purpose, but I have on several occaisions bailed to make sure that the guy who did the work wearing my E down and saddling up on me got the kill instead of the 5 other retards in P51s and 190s screaming in at warp speed from outer space to clear the poor guy's 12 o'clock.

:airplane: High Bombers... I generally will only kill 2, I hate spending 45 mins climbing to 18k in lancs just to get jumped by the 1 con that finds me out in the miidle of nowhere :noid, to lose all 3 sucks and is a waste of time so I like to let the guy thats all the way up here... feel like it wasn't a total waste and still get his name in lights... Because thats what we all want (secretly ofcourse). Fly High Buffs

You know, I've done that when shooting bombers in defense of a base and he has already dropped his bombs. I figure if he was going to bomb and bail he would have already, and if I leave him one bomber he will spend the time to land it. Keeping him out of the fight for that much longer.

I have... like recently got into a epic fight with Birddog his Ki-84 vs. my P38J - luckily enough the fight ended and all the while there was a Spit 16 and 109 K-4... I did what I wanted to do so I flew into a straight line... funny part is the Spit 16 "nordman" used 95% of his ammo to kill me - "took him 2 min of flying on my dead six"
-
I've done it in the training arena.
I've also done it in other games where a someone had a lifetime game record of many losses and no wins. Feels good to let them win there first one.
