Title: A-10 Cuba
Post by: Black Sheep on September 25, 2011, 03:03:28 PM
I know it's an oldie, but I loved it. Found the game on disc a few nights ago and of course I can't play it. Does anyone know of an app that will let me run win98 progs on win7?

Edit : I do not have a copy of Win98SE laying around, so virtual isn't an option. I don't understand why these older games can't be compatible.

ever play the old janes ww2 CB sims? those had some good sound effects on them considering their age. not to mention, the damage models were just like the one in AH but with damaged instruments and engine blocks actually ripping off.

AMEN BROTHA!

i lost my CD's, i had the first and second one. :bhead  and it was right after i got through both of the campaigns (US/German)
my favorite plane to fly out of them all was the BF-109. that was a cool plane to just mess around with.

those games are still some of the best made. beach head 2002 was pretty good aswell

I liked setting up different missions with different scenarios. Once I flew a 190 against about 30 or 40 51's. Didn't last to long :lol

i always like giving myself a disadvantage in a P47 against a horde of HE-111's. i just love taking a head on shot at bombers :lol

i tried at least 50 armored divisions against my single spitfire once, didnt work out so well with all the wirblewinds :uhoh

Wirbs are just as deadly in that game too! I honestly think its better than a lot of ww2 flight sims out there today. GV's are not the prettiest but that seems irrelevant to the fun that it brings. :old:

I'll requote the OP since this got derailed:

great game! :aok I remember seeing A-10 Attack! pre-release demo'd at a MacWorld show running on 4 monitors, just amazing. how they managed that I'll never know, it ran like a slideshow on my 7600 with just the one monitor :(

try using ACT to run it under Win7, info here:
