What happened to the super bowl team? Already done? Apparently so...the Texans outplayed the Steelers yesterday on both sides of the ball. Even though it was a 17-10 win for the Texans, two TD's were nullified by penalties so the score should have been 31-10.
Some stats:
Texans made 5 sacks, Big Ben was hit 8 times, Steelers never touched Schaub
Texans blocked a field goal and ran back for touchdown, nullified by penalty
Texans made a sack that made big Ben fumble the ball, Texans recovered, nullified by penalty
Texans made an interception, ran back for TD, nullified by penalty
Some of these penalties were total BS, roughing the passer was one of them...JJ Watt was shoved into big Ben after the ball was thrown... bad calling in this game on the refs part...not calling obvious calls on both teams the entire game...
Despite this Texans still win and prove they have the defense Houston has been wishing for for the past 3 years...the Texans are truly a contender now...

It's kinda of funny...Houston produces some of the greatest players of all time...especially running backs...now we have the greatest wide receiver in the NFL and one of the best quarterbacks as well...
...actually we have a pretty great team this year, even a great defense :) Thank you Cowboys for Wade Phillips! Welcome home Wade

Not good with teams like the Packers and the Ravens....
Texans lead the AFC, we will see when Texans play the Ravens
Will be a great show down:
Texans:
26.8 PPG (8th) 380 YDS (10th) 231.5 Pass (19th) 148.5 Rush (4th)
Ravens:
29.8 PPG (6th) 358.5 YDS (14th) 234.8 Pass (18th) 123.8 Rush (8th)
It will be coming down to the defense...both teams have a fantastic defensive setup, both teams in the top 10 with defense...
like I said...it will be the game of the year for both teams...this will be the game that will show who is contender in the AFC

Oilers left because Houston would not build a new stadium.
Houston builds new stadium and gets Texans.
I don't follow NFl hardly at all any more.
I watch some College ball.

Random question about football...
Would you guys doubt the packers getting another superbowl win?
also, the play on their last game where rodgers got that touchdown before he nailed the ground with his hand just inside the end-zone was freaking hilarious. i could have sworn i saw the bronco's coach saying "oh BULL^#$!" :lol

Apparently, by the way the Steelers are playing, going to the Super Bowl means absolutely nothing.
The statement, when were you last at a Super Bowl is total BS, it DOES NOT MATTER. What you did last year, 10 years, or even 20 years ago is irrelevant to today.
Texans only been in the league for 10 years, so that statement holds even less merit to this team.

Actually I'll trump your arguement and say that it does because a ton of teams build by picking up rookies and such so when they lose that position 2 years down the road they have an instant fill.....Example...Brett Farve getting replaced by Aaron Rodgers
Ravens had a Superbowl before they hit 10 years in.....just saying

Right,
Arian Foster, Ben Tate, Andre Johnson, Matt Schaub, Mario Williams, DeMeco Ryans
BTW, Green Bay went 30 years without a super bowl appearance...like I said...it really doesn't matter
just sayin
