Any of us 60's kiddies remember Rat Patrol, Combat, 12 O'Clock High, Garrison's Guerrillas and any number of WW2 themed shows. Of course we were running around with toy Tommy Guns too :)
Combat! was the best of the bunch in my opinion. Where's the Sarge when you need em?
-
Don't expect too much from Rat Patrol,it was pretty cheesy back then and I doubt it's aged well.
Agreed Dan Combat was the best of them followed by 12 O'clock high, even with the 51 footage that they continually showed attacking the 17's.Of course we were kids then and it didn't matter, every Friday night the call would go out"combats on in 5 minutes"
:salute

what? rat patrol was great man...or i was too young to care about the quality :headscratch: those jeeps with the 50 cals jumping across the sand dunes were awesome to me. always wanted to try that stunt but was too afraid of busting my face on the m2 receiver assembly. :lol
i wish netflix had baa baa black sheep... :frown:

I used to catch Combat! late at night in the 90's. For my generation it was Tour Of Duty on tv and that was about it except reruns or Rat patrol.

i always watched the Rat Patrol and Combat, Garrison's Guerrillas any John Wayne movies all during the 60's and 70's no matter what we were doing we always made sure we were planted in front of the TV to watch them. i really liked the opening when the Jeep came flying over the sand dunes guns a blazing, those were the good times and days for sure.

Ya gyrene I used to think that too until I saw rat patrol a couple years ago!
watch it now and see if it still meets your expectations, kinda reminded me of the Ateam....... Now combat was shown up here on history channel and it still is great and much like I remembered, rat patrol, well lets just say it left me wondering why I found it so fasinating as a kid!
YMMV.
:salute

:rofl i know what you mean. the scripts were...elementary to say the least. i think it was just the vehicles that i was enthralled with, they fed my model building addiction. never really got into combat though, probably because my parents was hogging the television watching the honeymooners or i love lucy or something.

!2 O'clock High was a favorite of mine when i was a wee tad . I bet they shot that same 109 down 50 times ! :x

BaaBaa BlackSheep was my favorite, they have the shows on YouTube by eagle flier1, I think that was his name.
Shuffler when most of us old farts were growing up we did have cells, and if our parents did they were so big that they were wired into the truck or car cause you could carry them.
