Finally, we can watch some real baseball!  I wonder what all the commentators are gonna do now that all of their teams are gone!  Seems like they had their favorites and made sure to point that out during the games, poor souls. :cry  They actually have to call the game down the middle now!    :lol

If the game is on Fox Sports you wont get any relief. All those idiots talk about are the friggin Yankees. Even when they aren't playin in that game. Watch when a closer comes into the game, they'll drop Mariano Riveria's name 3 times before a pitch is thrown. Buck and McCarver are the worst, they're play-by-play sounds like a phone sex hotline.
"Oh Texeria, you're so big!"
"A-rod is so bulgie. He's like a moose."
"Oh, Riveria....Mooo!" Putting on their "MO" face.

It's really disgusting. I mute the TV and listen to the game on the radio when the local TV broadcast is blacked out.  :bhead

Tigers and Cardinals in the WS, tigers in 6. :D u've seen the prediction here first.

That's the only potential match-up that's going to be of any REAL worth. Aside from Cards/Brewers in the LCS  (though I'd have loved to see Cards/Yankees. THE classic World Series rivalry). Last time these two teams faced each other in the playoffs was in '82. At the World Series. But even that doesn't have the same weight of history behind it.

As for your prediction, remember what happened LAST time someone discounted the Cardinals vs. the Tigers in the Series: "The Tigers in Three"

If the game is on Fox Sports you wont get any relief. All those idiots talk about are the friggin Yankees. Even when they aren't playin in that game. Unfortunately I agree. What's sad is I LOVED Joe when he did play-by-play with the Cardinals before moving to the national team. Especially when he teamed up with his dad. He's so much like Jack hearing Joe do the games is almost like having Jack back again (GOD, no one could broadcast a game like Jack Buck  :cry :cry :cry). But ever since he's gone to the national side he's no different than the rest of the national media.

And Tim McCarver just plain pisses me off.

Michael Kay is the worst on YES.

He will sit there and say "now he'll probably throw a slider......and there's a curveball!"

Ahem.... Harry Carey. His late inning antics were quite comical.

And Tim McCarver just plain pisses me off.

I'm not sure how this clown still has a job... anywhere. Have you read any of his books? Just awful.

You do know how Jack Buck got his announcing job in St. Louis, don't you?

Harry got fired after he was caught porking August Busch Jr.'s daughter-in-law.  :lol

Jack was part of the broadcast team with Harry (Jack more or less filled the same role for Harry that Mike Shannon did for Jack) before that.

WHOA!  Things are getting heated up so much even SKUZZY is getting into the action!

I'm looking forward to a Cards Vs. Rangers series myself.  My G/F works for Dr. Pepper here in STL but their HQ is down in Plano (She even stayed at the NYLO once while down there on business and hit her shin on one of the glass tables in the lobby!)

I figure that would make for a lot of fun camaraderie between her and her co-workers!

Making fun of someone for their weight?  That must be all that St. Louis class you keep talking about lol, and by the way Prince is a vegetarian so the cheeseburger thing is retarded.  Lets not forget your golden boy poo holes, who puts the bellybutton in class.  Or your god almighty LaRussa, nothing says classy like a good mugshot http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/larussa-bottom-fifth (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/larussa-bottom-fifth).  LMAO hes passed out and can't even manage the alphabet and he blows a .092?  I remember my first beer...

:aok  It's ok, with pride comes shame, I had to actually check my pulse after watching the Dodgers win a home game earlier this year (it's been a bad season for my team, more off the field than on  :cry ).

Sax lived in Maplewood for a couple years when I was a kid. BigR spent too many nights at the Grainery and other assorted establishments in your neighborhood. Lived in Hazelwood and the drinking age was 19 in Illinois, but 21 in Missouri.  :devil  Mash nice seats. :aok

Famous seat cushion game in 06. Very similar year for the Cards. I still have 3 of them but my son's is out there on the field. :D
