I am very pleasantly surprised how well Ink's ladder is going with allot of fights and everyone being very sporting.
I can't resist suggesting we could do the same thing for squads if people would have a go and just accept the fight is more important than who wins to the inth of the benefit of the doubt. The beauty of Ink's ladder is if you feel it went against you unluckily or unfairly (not that anyone has suggested it has) you can just re challenge later. It would be great from where I am sitting anyway if our many squads were motivated to put up small teams for friendly competition in a similar ladder and could do so so for the love of the game in team form. If people werent going to take it too seriously even 3 asside could be enough or more if there was the interest.
Personally I like team games and loved SDL before it went where it went. If we could have a simpler more emmediate chance to play something as squads I would think that would have the pottential for allot of fun.

I think its working because its not a lot of people, when you get squads involved it just adds to the personalities...more people more issues.

I would suggest that we let Ink's ladder run for awhile so we can work some kinks out before we look to expand. When we do expand, I would like to see a 2vs2 ladder before a squad ladder. Or something that I would like to see is a special event, it would be a 2vs2 competition, but one where it is planes like the Stuka. One pilot and one gunner vs another pilot and gunner. I personally think that that would be a blast!

Anyway Ink deserves our support and admiration for his efforts :salute :aok
I agree about personalities but people should I beleieve put themselves to one side if it gets in the way of having a good fight and some fun.

Inks Ladder works because not one person is in charge. Ink is the organizer but changes in rules/ people being booted is voted on by members of the Ladder. There is no nepotism. Ink also garners a mutual respect from everyone, at least I believe. So when a certain squad who was in charge of the SDL starts to blame the community maybe they should look in the mirror because they ran SDL. SDLs success or failure is on them not the community.

you think any other squad would have voted to support KN's continued presence with the way perdweeb went off on everyone? I did agree that HO-ing on the merge was un-sporting and some squads did start using it as a valid tactic. It was the nature of the beast unfortunately.
And your wrong about running "SDL", the squads organised matches amongst themselves and any rule changes had a forum to discuss them. I only had to act when things got out of hand. We had around 80 matches with only 3 having any sort of issue afterwards. If squads refuse to jump back in or carry on fighting because it is deemed to be so serious then that is their choice, we had some great fights with muppets, Jokers, LD's etc.
IMO the failure was more to do with a lack of squadron organisation or willpower. They just couldn't guarantee enough numbers.

in the ladder its expressly forbidden since the members can vote about ejecting the dirty players.
Perd went ballistic couse the organizers were behind the dirty ones, i guess (would like to hear Perd's opinion about it). IMO it would be playable and fun again if there were no shameful acts, whatever side they were on.
Fugi got it: wall of rulez, thats needed to keep it rolling... sad.

We LDs are getting hungry again to give the SDL an restart, so why we just give it all a go without looking back and beating a dead horse.

Bruv, you're right I had no right to go nuts. SDL was fun until Jokers. Jokers fought us and did everything I stand against. Then rubbed it in our faces in public forum. Not cool. If you think I was out of line, I dont care. They showed no honor or class, so I gave every ounce of class I had away at them and your squad Bruv. Taunting is a Personal Foul.
My thoughts were confirmed when I apologized and was not let back in. Organizers lead the way. Doesn't help that LD and The Few both hate me. Bad words.

why do you think our squad (LD) hate you??? we never fought an SDL match with any result??!! so how you're coming to this conclusion?
there is only one guy in the whole game who currently gets on our nerves. he's the one who permanatly flood ch 200 with stupidity, but in 2 month he will be in a clinic of addict (last tour over 300hours online) for a longer time, so i don't care anymore

I'm with Dhyran on this. No one in the Loose Deuce has ever mentioned a word of your name. I flew with you in Battle Over Germany and have very high regard for you and your ability to lead. Sorry the old SDL turned into a mess. That is behind us now, let's move forward.
I'll follow Dhyran to hell and back, up and down the Squad ladder. Let's do it!!

Fair point wurzel. Should've been more specific. There a "Few" members of The "Few" that i enjoy being with. Most of which I am not a big fan of. Doesn't matter though, happened over a year ago. SDL didnt work cuz of organizers. End of discussion. Im outtie. Sorry wurzel, I always forget youre in The Few. Remember, when i slam The Few's name I am not thinking of you :)

A squad ladder of the ink variety might be worth a try minimum 3 asside and lots of fighting and no endless discussion afterwards. 3 sounds a bit low but its difficult to get numenrs at short notice and it all got a bit slow and creaking with about one match per eon. We wont take it too seriously but the losing team have to rip their own genitals off and give them to the winners as souveniers.

i dont remember the joker shpeel goin down the way anyones remembering it here. it was real simple. we got Ho'd, some quit, and then the rest got over it. there was a tussle? i know we got banned and peoples maturity levels were called into question but i dont recall the rest being anything significant

Ink is already doing a ladder. Noone can ask him to do another.
If you want another ladder, do it yourself. Who want to, that will join, who dont, that will stay out.
Remember, this dang game is all about the magical thing: "having fun" "spaß haben" nothing else. Whatever you do, the dirty things, the elitism has no friggen place here.
There was something wrong with the SDL: heck, half the squads left in a couple months! Learn from the mistakes, if you do them again, you can go digging forever. Remember, no event can survive what isnt a friendly one. Strict, but friendly.
Anyway. i hope it can be an other event, the ladder is just too much fun. Do it yourself, Yarbles. I might be a bit rude, dont let it scare you. Be consequent and you cant go wrong.

Nath was a great wingman - the best I've ever met. I'm sure Bruv/Kazaa are exceptional wingmen as well. I'm sure any fight between the four of us in our primes would have been a lot of fun.
The best? Who cares. I do know that I never had more fun playing this kind of game than when I was winging with Nath. Good times.
