Title: Post Apocalyptic Games

Anyone have any suggestions to a good Post Apocalyptic game? It's by far, my favorite fiction genre and I can't get enough of it. But no zombies please (L4D and the likes).

I've tried:

Fallout 3/New Vegas
Metro 2033
RAGE
System Shock 2

I was thinking about Deus Ex or Bioshock, but both are just a world set in a different time/place, not neccessarily post apocalyptic.

metro 2033 was GREAT and bioshock is actually pretty awesome

Yep, Metro 2033 was by far my favorite, I just it wasn't so dang short.  :bhead

I've read a lot of good reviews on Bioshock and some friends urged me to play it, I'll see if I can pick that up next. I can't wait for Metro Last Light!

Bioshock wasn't a Post-apocalyptic scenario. Rapture had seen hell (Ironic) but the setting itself was around the 1960s or something like that. the outside world was normal I think, they never actually show it. Bioshock 3 though looks like the future.
Either way, I loved the games. Soon as I found the ultimate Plasmid/weapon combo it was almost too easy. :)

Deus Ex is not post apocalyptic. It is a great game though.

How long has it been since Fallout2? 15 years? 20?
And nothing as good came out. I really miss the turn based games.
It is hilarious how the original Fallouts were made by 10 people compared with the Maga-projects like Fallout3. I mean Fallout 3 is good, but not better than 2 and when you divide by the number of developers and costs... oh boy.

+1 for Fallout 1 & 2  :D  you can get a graphics upgrade patch somewhere to make them slightly prettier

I've heard that STALKER is good too...

there is a free to play MMO called crimecraft:BLEEDOUT that is themed our world with the end of the oil which brings a complete economy disasters and people start killing eachother... is kinda fun but is not REALLY apocalyptic
now there was one that i was tracking sometime ago it was WIP yet i don't know if it is released but i think the name was "I survive" or is the name of the character, I'm not sure, i remember in the trailer there were 2 guys chasing the character and wanted his bottle of water and they were about to kill him for that bottle ill try to find the right name

also I am waiting for episode 3... hope is the last thing to die, right Gabe?

and even thought its not entirely post apocalyptic but somewhat on those lines-Homefront.

You should try the STALKER series. It's an FPS/RPG in an alternate history story focusing on the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
