Hallo to all,
last time i was in this game must be 8or9 years ago.
now i wanna try again. for the moment only offline, to get back the feeling for fly.
here is my problem:
i bought a saitek cyborgX. it`s ok, works in windows7 and i can use it in the game. but i cannot use the profiles i made with the cyborgX-software in the game, or i dont know how to do that.
There are 11 buttons, cooliehat and a scroll on that stick, with my software i can programm these 11buttons with a "shift"button to 22buttons, but i don`t know how to get that profile into the game.
in the settingsfolder i find cyborgx.jsm
but in saitek profilefolder the ending is .prO
I hope there is someone with an idea.
Sorry for my bad english writing i`m german.
Greatings to all
Alino

Just use the in game mapping and don't worry about the saitek software. You will have less headaches and less problems.

THX, but also less buttons :frown:

You can program a button on your stock as the shift key, or you can program one button as the mode button and use up to 4 sets of buttons on your stick making 44 buttons.

I used the Saitek software with my X52 and I use the Logitech software with my G940 for two reasons:
1> Shift key function (assigned to my pinky trigger). What this does is it doubles the amount of buttons you have. Take my button for landing gear for example. Just pressing it toggles the gear. If I hold down the pinky trigger and press it instead it toggles the landing hook. Another example is my 'look up' button. Holding down the pinky while pressing it turns it into 'look down'.
2> Macros. I have a button that types . s a l v o 1 <enter> and I have another that types . e f <enter> . And of course I have many others.
I also used to use the profiling software to assign keystrokes to axis positions but that is no longer necessary since they incorporated that into the stick programming ingame. If they could incorporate these other functions into the game that would be AWESOME and eliminate my need for programming software altogether.
The biggest thing to remember about the profiling software is to *NOT* program something in that can be programmed from Hces High. In other words, if it CAN be programmed from aces high then leave that specific function unprogrammed in the software and program it in AH instead. Also do NOT change the key mapping in AH if at all possible. That will really screw you up.
In my case I have descriptions for all of my joystick functions programmed into the profiling software however the commands that are programmed in game and not through the software have nothing assigned to them in the software. Also their descriptions begin with the letters "IG" which means "In Game". For example my trigger is programmed in AH as "Fire Primary Weapon (MG usually)". In my software it is left unprogrammed but its description is set to "IG Fire Primary". SHIFT (pinky) + that same trigger is set to "Fire Secondary (CAN usually or whatever selected)" and since it is shifted it cannot be programmed in AH so instead it is programmed in the software and its description simply says "Fire Secondary". My second stage trigger is set to FIRE ALL under both conditions.

THX, yes can do that with the saitek-software.
But i don`t know how to become the Profile that is done with the Saiteksoftware into the game.
Into AH i don`t find a way to program one Button as a Shiftbutton.

I can't remember how to do it in the saitek software either as it's been awhile. Maybe you'll have better luck at saitekforum.com

Yes i did it all with the Saiteksoftware and all works but how can i persuade AH to uderstand this out of the game created Profile?

Ok, so i`ll NOT programm anything that can be programmed in AH.
I go to Clipboard-Options-Controlls-Map Contollers
Under--Select Controllers there is my CyborgX identified
But there is no way to find my with Saiteksoftware programmed Profile.
I put my Profile into the AHsettings folder but the ending is pr0. in AH endings are jsm.

You won't see you Saitek profile anywhere in AH. Shifted functions should be programmed in the Saitek software to output AH keycodes. Load the profile before starting AH and then when you use shifted functions the joystick will send the keycodes as if they were being pressed on the keyboard.

Great, now that you have it working, map a mode change button and setup mode 3 and 4 as you like and you will be able to add even more funtions or a profile just for bombers, etc.
Leave mode 2 and copy it to mode 1 so your GV's will be setup!
