Title: What are some good TV series that i can follow?
Post by: Selino631 on October 14, 2011, 11:35:12 AM: The cold season is starting over here in A-stan so stuff gonna be slowing down. Im looking for some good TV shows i could get on DVD and follow that'll take up some time, i finished both seasons of Blue Mountian State, about halfway through with Rescue Me, and i bought all the Seasons of The Unit which i havnt gotten too yet, if u guys know of anything, especially combat vets, let me know.

Newer episodes of Bones seem to be shot like a soap, I just don't dig it anymore :( Haven't watched any of the new season of House yet but it looks much more promising.
Sons is epic-awesome! The finale to last season just perfect. Almost every other show on FX is fantastic as well. Justified, Rescue Me, Archer, and Always Sunny are all great.

Gotta' add Dexter, it is so dark and the narrative is so excellent. It's not a comedy but it's got great comic relief that makes me nearly suffocate from laughing 1 or 2 times an episode.
Community isn't a show for everyone, but I like it. It's basically a sit-com that follows half a dozen people in a study group at a community college. IMO you've got to start at the pilot if you ever want to understand the humor and enjoy the show, before I got into it I tried watching a latest episode and I just thought it was lame.

Actually none of those are any good.... but they are on TV.

Well I spent some time pondering this and came to the conclusion that you'd have to go a several years to find anything worth watching.

ya know? i know that in reality, those are staged....but i kinda like lizard lick towing, and bearswamp. on a side note, if you saw the episode where they repo'd the pink limo? i've seen that one come past my shop a couple of times down here in south jersey........

Also +1 on Breaking Bad, Dexter, Hung (Rebecca Creskoff is worth it), Burn Notice, Justified and Archer.
Always Sunny is Always Awful. I wouldn't force AlQueda terrorist to watch it in Gitmo.

Can you get Netflix or Blockbuster DVDs? I'm sure the mail time would be killer, but you can find most on there.

Since you have to go the DVD route check out Generation Kill. Great 7 hour HBO miniseries.

Huh, i didnt even think about that, i automaticly thought of like streaming and stuff. Im gonna have to look into that,

Yea i own Generation Kill, it was pretty good, but i thought The Pacific and Band of Brothers is 10000 times better lol.

so far i've watched The Pacific and Band of Brothers several times through, along with 45 some other movies i own, I'm already at the 5th season of Rescue Me, then im gonna tackle all the seasons of The Unit. Then im gonna hit Scrubs.
