OK, ignore the background crap and focus on the A6M alone. What is wrong with it? Want to make sure i am seeing the same thing.

Aside from the A6M being a B5N2?
2 bladed prop, probably. Pretty sure they all had 3 blades.

Yep, i saw what thought. Thanks.

prop doesn't even look like it would give enough thrust to even make a paperplane go..

Especially when caring an +1,000 lbs torpedo. (Oh, I may have set myself up on this remark)

I've always thought the same thing when looking at a T6 or SNJ, large(ish) plane for a single, and only a 2 blade prop. But it still works pretty well. Granted it's not the fastest of planes but....
EDIT:
Hmmmm, now that I look at it again, could that BE a modified T6, one of the Tora, Tora, Tora "Zeros"? Hard to tell without a profile (for me anyway, I'm sure one of the experts will set me straight.)

CGI is very light. It sometimes float into the air on its own.

From what I've seen that plane does look alot like a T-6 just from the engine and cockpit layout.
-
That appears to be a T-6 modified to look like the Japanese plane. Pretty common situation for hollywierd given the rather scarce numbers of real zero's. The A6M's in the movie will have the same ridge on each wing as well. I loved the one line where the guy said they couldn't outrun the zero's so they had to outfly them at Pearl...... yeah right.

The last time I saw the Tora Tora Tora airshow they mentioned something about those being the same planes that were used in that movie, so it's probably one of those.

I believe that there was a A6M3 on the set that crash landed.

the japanese torpedoes had a wood "case" around the propeller to stop them from sinking too far in the shallow waters of pearl harbor. read that back in the 70's, hope I am not mistaken.

Think they used BT-13s for the Kate mods..I know they did for Tora, Tora, Tora.
