:pray I have just learned from a former squaddie, JGMedic, that TwoDogs5 had passed away within the last 24 hours. He had been suffering for the last few years with a multitude of medical issues that finally took his life. Twodogs5 was the Commanding Officer of JG3-Udet for many years and had played the game since the Air Warrior days. At times, Joe ruled with an iron fist, ruffled a few feathers but, there was no other person I'd rather go into battle with as he was also one of the most compassionate. I joined the game in tour 76 and shortly became a member of the squad, learning the game quickly under his tutelage and that of other trusted members that "TD" had chosen. He was a great friend, lover of animals and a true leader within the game. Joe and I spent many hours in the game together as well as countless hours conversing over the phone about the squad, the game and life in general. My only regret is that I never got a chance to meet him in person.
:salute TwoDogs5! There will never be another Squaddie, Leader or Human Being such as you again. God Bless Brother.

When I first started flying the 109, there were only a few Luft squads out there. JG 3 was one of them. I spoke to him in depth only once but as you put it, he seemed like a great leader and a passionate player.

I wish clear skies for you,
because I will miss you too,
even though we have never met,
I would like to place a bet,
that you were a great,
who no one could hate,
because you were so nice,
so I hope this will suffice,
and that we will all strive,
to keep your memory alive.

I've occasionally on these BBs mentioned the magic that can happen between two players when they wing up, even if they've never flown together before. That magic has only happened a handful of times since I joined AH in 2001 and one of those nights was with TwoDogs5. We went in together against 5-6 cons and we hardly spoke a word. It was like we were reading each others minds as we dispatched the entire opposing force and not only killed them but did so quickly and efficiently.
We bonded in a way in-game that night and always had a friendly greeting for one another from that day forward. TwoDogs was one of the nicest guys you'd ever run into and his not being in the game will be a loss to all who play. I know that I'd fly into a storm with him any time and can only hope he'll occasionally keep watch over my wing from his lofty perch.
:salute TwoDogs5 and condolences to those left behind. You will be missed.

When I 1st started playing AH1 in 2003 I started in the old Combat theater and I had no clue what I was doing , but TD welcomed me into JG3 even after I did my best to tell him how terrible I was. He was a great CO and will always have my respect :salute
