Youtube used to run very smoothly for me. no pauses, i could run it at 1080 without it needing to stop to load once.
But ever since a couple weeks ago, suddenly it will pause halfway threw a vid. It wont load, and it wont go past the point it paused at. i have to refresh the vid to get it to start again. And sometimes it'll stop repeatedly.
Its been doing this alot lately. Anyone here possibly having the same problems, or have a solution?
>Before someone tells me to post it in Youtube's forums, i dont have a youtube account. And i could not find an email address in their "contact us" section. Only a California phone number that does not work for me.

when is the last time you ripped and rebuilt your computer?
By that I mean store everything you want to keep in a removable media, then reinstall the os, then reinstall your programs, and reinstall your files?
FYI I'm no expert like Gyrene etc.. I just know you should do that every so often and it's worked for me for years.

A year old? That's 6 months out of date.

I have never done that and im on a 5 year old computer with all the origional hardware/software except for added ram and a new graphics card... I have never had problems like the above...
AS for the issue, i would go along the lines of morf said. If its not buffering all the way, that deffinately sounds like an internet issue to me.

Flight17,
Glad you agree, seems with the popularity of youtube and streaming movies the cable companies are worried, they have tried to restrict download limits and charge rediculess sums for any overage.
I read somewhere that ISP's were throttling the bandwith on some sites,I would guess to frustate the user and not give up their cable TV!.... :noid
But you didnt hear that from me...vicious rumours...... :devil

Internet not computer. Mine is the same way sometimes. Usually it is fine, but sometimes it will buffer, then play, then buffer, then play for 5 more seconds, etc etc.

hmm.. when it does that to me I just let it load in the background and come back to it. That said I regular R&R of your system is not a bad idea. Kind of like going to the dentist. It sucks but it's worth it in the long run.
