After much deliberation and discussion the FSO start time will be moved up by 30 minutes starting in January. So the EST start time will be 10:30 PM EST and the PAC start time will be 7:30 PM PST.
In the end moving it up by 1/2 hour gives the east coasters a bit of a break on staying up so late and the west coasters should still have enough time to get home and get in front of their PCs. I will also be very strict with the start times for FSO. When its time to go I will be wanting everybody to be set and the setup CMs to enable flights right on cue at the bottom of the hour so we are not staying later than we have to.
The problems with a player base over so many time zones and countries is nothing we can "fix". No set time is going to be a ideal to everybody. Im hoping this tweak will give releif where its needed to the most players while not cutting anybody out from playing.
Thank you.

The FSO start time in the UK begins with the British encamped at Yorktown.... Oh I am sorry, hit a nerve? Was actually reading Mentalfloss "History of the World," King George III's diary entry...."Nothing important happened today." July 4, 1776 ~~~ Snake ~~~

I posted some thoughts on the poll thread, a little late with my thoughts, but I think they are still valid.

Not going to be able to take part but hey that is what happens when things change. I just get to lose the best time I have in AH. Nothing else in the game does what FSO does for me; even getting in MA sorties with the squadron. But oh well I will enjoy these last two FSO's and move on from there.
