i believe the b29, me163, ar234 are contenders this month.....the b29 won 2 months in row... pls vote you decision and the majority of votes will advance to the second second round of polls..
I vote the b29...AGAIN...
p.s Pls add your thoughts on a FUTURE queen of the hanger...
-
uh I would think the B5N would hold that slot, right next to my favorite dive bomber the D3A.
-
How do you know the B-29 won? How would you know if the Ar234 or Mosquito Mk XVI won?
Hint: You are misreading what the stats for those planes can tell you.
-
well i based it on the amount of time i played...which is ALOT... :rofl :rofl
not based on facts, based on speculation on what i see...well...just vote a hanger queen in your opinion on what you see or DUN see when you fly. or what you think will be the next queen.
-
I don't see a hanger.

Seriously ... 72.2k @ 436.
-
At that altitude, stall speed and critical airspeed meet.
Actually....that happens a little lower.
I'll bet only 1% of you guys could get the 234 above 35k.

How is an Me163 a hanger queen? problem is its only allowed at one field, its hardly a hanger queen in terms of its use per sortie. Ar234 I see more then Mossy bombers, B29s do fly but rarely below 25k.
Fighters: I-16, C202 and 109E
Attack: D3a Val, Kate Torpedo plane
Bomber: Ki-67 and G3m Betty
Notice there is a reason these are high eny and rarely used in Late War - most can't mach 1 away like they do in a P51D
-
I fly D3A and B5N quite often :airplane:
-
I love bombing gvs in a B5N.

Werent you a pilot? :)
-
G4M, Ki-67 and Mosquito Mk XVI are the bombers I tend to use.
-
oh look, 2 perked bombers and a perked rocket plane you can't fly from all airfields are considered hangar queens. . .
skewed logic there.
-
Werent you a pilot? :)
*british accent* An navy pilot! :airplane:
-
So what's the point of this thread? Are you trying to get planes you can't fly but others enjoy taken out of the game? If so why?
-
*british accent* An navy pilot! :airplane:
You mean a naval aviator! :)

WOW, those are exactly the aircraft I was thinking of. Just need to add one: Hurricane mk I.
-
I think DES is the Hanger Queen of the month, his dress was the best. :rock
-
the point of the thread is to find out from your opinion what has been sitting in the hanger the longest period of time... rarely used a/c.... for an example...the 163 was used to defend the home front... like HQ and factories... but in essence the factories move back and forwards, due to base being taken and retaken back. why don't we have a revolving base where we have 163s to defend those factories? since the factories move to a predetermined point?
the b29 was introduced but so heavily perked... i hardly see any... no doubt there are... prob out of the 400+ players... maybe just a group of 10 people use it..same goes for the 234... hardly used...but this is not based on facts... but by observation...
at that time i was wondering if the meteor won the polls... she would be the same as the rest...

All perked aircraft are used by a small percentage of the players because not only you need to have the perks to fly it you also need to like the plane (your not going to fly what you don't like).
I think early war aircraft see a lot less usage than perked because even though perked airplanes are expensive you can actually accomplish something when flying them, the only thing your going to accomplish when flying an early war aircraft it get shot down.
-

??? :rofl

??? :rofl
Well maybe not but admit it, it is easier to fight on late war perk planes.
-
Just shot down a Spit 14 with a D3A :uhoh

That's because the guy you shot down has a K/D of 0.38, I would not be surprised if you shot him down with a C-47.
(no names)
It's the pilot, not the plane. However if you have two equally skilled pilots the plane will change the outcome.
-
MachFly,
Still, you have to admit, the D3A was getting used.

Sure it is used. It even has 234 deaths this tour alone (I don't know how to find the # of sotis). But look at it this way, as rare as Spit14s are you see a lot more of them than D3As.
-
That is true in the MA, but the D3A's purpose for being in AH is not the MA and the Spitfire Mk XIV's main purpose for being in AH is the MA.

Agreed.
I just thought the thread was specifically discussing the MA.

It is discussing usage in the MA, but it seems to have an implication that Hangar Queens were a waste of HTC's resources.

Absolutely not, not a single thing in AH is a waste of resources.
-
gonna have to find the vid of me dog fighting a zeke in a B5N...No gun shogun :lol
-
...its hardly a hanger queen in terms of its use per sortie...
After further analysis, I have determined that every plane has exactly the same use per sortie. :D :bolt:

Not really, the longer your sortie is the higher is the use per sortie.
-
i am not trying to say that the hanger queens are a waste of resources... all i am trying to say at that time was that... why did we have the meteor instead of say something like the prolific HE111 or the beaufighter? or maybe the ki43? dun get me wrong.. i love the b29s, or the ar234s, or the 163s, but why have something that you will only use it only once in a long while? anyway... i guess you guys may have misread my thoughts? or i have not expressed myself clearly... but its a vote nonetheless...
p.s i can assure you the early war planes are kicking your late war planes in a dogfight anyday...expamle.. put a hurri 2c vs a p51 in a dogfight...guess the winner... no running away... a pure turning dogfight.....

guess the SR71 was a waste when WW2 german stuff could get sub orbet

They listed fixing that AR234 issue in the last update but I believe it only took advantage of that bug twice in the arenas.
Both times, someone in a 163 whined regardless of the fact that I would not have had a problem intercepting one that high in a 163.
