Mine too.  TD is the best.  He'll be building my rigs as long as he's building them.  Thinking about a new one next year in fact.

So, was it like Christmas morning for you as well when Fedex showed up?

Great looking rig sir <S>

Some new additions to TD's computer builds that were not quite visible in Kiljoys photo's:

The covers for the PS wires and HD cage were custom made and the case was slotted to accept the hooks on the sheet metal covers (which can't be seen without removing the right side panel)

Specs on this machine:

Case: NZXT Beta EVO
Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3L
CPU: Intel E8400
CPU Cooler: OCZ Vendetta II
Memory: OCZ Blade Series 2 x 2GB 2 1333Mhz
Power Supply: OCZ 700 watt
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB w/32mb cache
DVD/CD Drive: Samsung SH223
Video Card: EVGA 9800 GTX+

OS: Win 7 64bit

This was a machine that TD built a while back and took it back on trade for a new bigger, better one. He wiped it clean for us and added the mods.

Currently running AH with hi res at 2048, AA up 2 notches, and ALL SHADOWS including smooth, sliders maxed to left, and does not go below 60fps.

Another kick (edited) machine, thanks again Rich.

Ripley, why is it when someone posts anything that has to do with TD you look to find some sort of fault. This system
DOES run with shadows and is set to 2048.  Keep in mind this system is a USED system that TD took in on trade.  I
could not have built as good or better system for the price, and it does play the game with almost all setting at
max with full monitor frame rate.  Are you going to tell me other wise?

I have seen dozens of posts of systems with pictures that TD has built.  Guys post on these boards proud to own a
system he built and being completely happy with the performance, playability and price.  I have yet to see a system
you built with pictures posted here, even your own system.  You constantly knock his builds and ability, lets see
what kind of work you do.  Show your expertise for us to see.  You talk a good game, time to back it up with some
proof. Why don't you post a picture and DXDIAG of your or any system you have built?

We have lost IMHO a valuable community asset when TD stopped posting on these boards.  Are you worried about TD's
knowledge will out shine yours?  That he is building with today's technology that you do not have the monies for or the
experience to use?  I know for a fact he still assists by sending PM's to assist people, but the community does not
see his knowledge overall, or his connections with the manufacturers (Masherbrum had an issue with his Western
Digital HDD, could not get anywhere with WD, he asked TD to assist, TD made a call and 2 days later Masherbrum had
not only a new drive, but two new larger and faster drives).  I know of at least four folks that TD has done this
for and not only with Western Digital.

Ripley, please start supporting the community in a good way instead of trying to find "fault?"

With only 512Mb graphics memory you won't be running 'all shadows' i.e. 8 meg shadow textures without a slideshow.

This reply is sickening.    It is nothing more than cutting down a teenager (SWkiljoy) with nothing more than complete envy.    Ripley, why do you continue to inflict your venom at TD (who doesn't post on here anymore)?    Instead of Matt posting his pictures and his father raising his son the best way he can, you choose to act like a complete nozzle again.

What Dragon mentions was in regards to this thread:  http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,311339.0.html (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,311339.0.html)

I had a 750GB AALS fail within a year.    I happened to catch TD on TS3 one night shortly after making my post.    He then volunteered to contact WD for me.   On this drive, were my music files (didn't care about) and 10+ years of Pictures (this was what I was concerned with).

I RMA'd the drive, but sent it to TD first.   He was able to get everything off of the drive and then needed another drive, so I paypal'd him some money (with a little extra) and he sent me the drive.   Mind you, I didn't ask him for a thing, he volunteered to help a friend.    I RMA'd that 750GB and received AT NO CHARGE a 2TB Black Series.    They sent me 2 Blue series drives and I was told to "keep them".    I turned around and gave TD one as a "thank you".

Friendship is what I got most out of this game, for some it is acting like a complete nozzle.    I have met people from all walks of life and don't regret a single moment of it.   Rich, I know you don't post, but if I am ever in the Atlanta area, you will be called and we will have some steak and beer.   You know this, but that is because we talk on the phone and laugh at the buffoonery.

Brian and Matt, hopefully next year since the Dayton Air Show will be on a different weekend than Thunder Over Michigan, we will once again have some good laughs and ignore the love muffinery of some.    Matt, enjoy that PC and see you soon.

I don't really have a dog in this fight but, I have never met TD or even seen him post on here (must have been before my time). However, Anytime I have made a post in here asking a question he has pm'ed me with very helpful information and even left his phone number just to call and chat if I had further questions. I think it is a shame the AH community lost someone like this who is knowledgeable and more than willing to help out complete strangers even when they didn't buy a system from him.  :salute TD. I am just glad that even though he may not be posting he is still reading and helping behind the scenes.

And you badgered him and spent pages and pages of post to try any make him look like he didn't know what he was talking about just because you didn't like his phrasing.

That certainly points out to me who knows what he's talking about, and who doesn't.

what he said.

i've got one of TD's machines, and when i can afford to go better, i'll be calling on him again.

something i've not seen mentioned here so far, is TD's personality. you could not possibly ask for a nicer person to deal with than him. he's super patient even when the questions asked of him are stupid ones, offers to help whenever he can, and even nearly 3 years after purchase, is more than willing to take a phone call, to assist some dummies(like me) that may or may nor have done something rather stupid on their machine.

so he has top of the line product, top of the line customer service, and top of the line personality.

i really cannot find a bad thing to say about the guy..........

Rich ( TilDeath ),
is a great person, and has helped AH Community Members in more ways than most will ever know or hear about.....

he even has donated & given parts / cases to some less fortunate  or down on their luck AH Community members.......

when some people start letting go of their internet egotistical cheekboness and start acting in a more mature manner , then maybe we will not be seeing so many Skuzzyfied edited posts

for goodness sake,  tildeath almost missed his plane to haiti back when he was volunteering to get their infrastructure up, just to make sure an AH Community member was not going to be doing without, and even left contact numbers for several  manufacturer reps to help while he was away volunteering in Haiti back during that E-quake.....

if you have some type of dislike about TilDeath, then just pass on by the thread, instead of posting and removing all doubt

by the way, one funny thing about all this is a wile back someone crawled all over TD for something he posted regarding some Hard Drives........ then on these boards a month or so ago, that same individual was on here reposting the same stuff that he had originally accused TD of being wrongfully informing people about or accusing him of trying to push a product on people here......... when all the original topic had to do with was just showing some statistics of how a product performed

nothing more nothing less

If you don't like hearing of another player, then why don't you step up and offer something better or help the AH Community members MORE or BETTER!

if you can not do that then stay the F out of the thread so others can get the info they might need........  if you want to raise a civil debate or arguement, then at least do it in a civil manner

in my opinion, td gave me a competitive system, which fit well within my budget, and to be honest, i don't think i could've built it myself for as cheap as he sold it to me. that is of course, assuming i knew what i was doing......and i don't.

what they should consider, is that although they are on the intardnet, that the member may well be near them. pipz works about 2 miles away from my shop, and doesn't live much farther away than that.

why do we always have to bash TD? couple years back when i played on my laptop I was having issues with installing a soundpack, TD gave me his number and I got the issue resolved. just recently I bought a used case off him with 3 or 4 extra fans for the price of the same case brand new. I have asked questions on here and he has sent me PM's pointing me in the right direction. Rich is truly a great guy that has helped the community. its a shame he is no longer with us posting openly, but he has his reasons for doing so and he still assists when he can, and for this I  :salute him.

as has been mentioned, and hopefully taught to you from a young age, if you have nothing to say dont say it. same thing applies here, lets act like adults for a change and not bash each other?

Then the pig piling began and made it a lot worse than it would have been had everyone simply ignored him.  Pig pilers are no better than the person they are piling on.  If eveyone would have done the right thing and hit the "Report to moderator" link, this would have been nipped in the bud.
