Title: Two games/pieces of software
Post by: B-17 on October 27, 2011, 10:00:22 PM
Ok. SO.

I have seen a couple of videos on Youtube recently. One of them was about a computer program called Bullet Physics. Anybody can fill me in on what it's really good for/entertainment value is?

Second thing... Just Cause. It looks like a cool game, with airplanes and such :D but I wasn't really sure what it was about. Help..?

Thanks!

That's from my dad, too-- he thought they were cool

There is a program from American Rifleman/NRA showing bullit drop depending on load.  Is that what your talking about?

I'm not sure-- the program is actually called "Bullet Physics", created by the company Bullet.

If you mean 'Just Cause 2', it's basically a GTA with a much larger world and more options for free roam. Think the map is ~45Km from side to side, and is scaled at a 1:1 ratio (meaning 45Kph would take you an hour to cross the map). It's great fun for blowing things up and driving/flying/parachuting around with reckless abandonment. The story is meh, their entire budget went into the world and its detail.
Always fun to grapple a tank to a plane and watch the chaos ensue. :D

That's what I was thinking :lol and that's what the wiki said, as well as the game reviews; no storyline, but neverending fun with a completely interactive world. And that's actually pretty cool... A 1:1 ratio of 45 km...
