Great stick and throttle. It's what I use.

You can also load setups for the game that others use.

wish i had some extra money to spend, could really use a throttle.

Question though. Why only use it for 4 hours; I understand it is overly complex/complicated but isn't that reason enough to try for longer than 4 hours?

It's the same rig I've used for years and I couldn't see using anything else. It's a 100% kickazz product and totally bulletproof. I'd say 4 hours isn't nearly giving it a fair chance. Yeah it'll take some time getting used to where everything is but once you've got it down things are fairly effortless. Beats the crap out of typing.

You should give it more time than that... not to sound crude, but it is much like sex. Were you an expert lover after the first time?

You really should give it another try.

It takes a little time to get used to the feel of it, but it's worth it. You get what you pay for, a really good product. It's pretty common to hate the things for the first week. Pedals were even worse!
After only using CH for x # of years, I'm currently on some $50 Thrustmaster stick. Night and day.

As far as buttons, just program the essentials at first. You can do all of this within AH which is easier than CH's control software. There are tutorials and help files written out to help you program the gear too.
Once you get used to those, you can start to branch out towards your 198 programables :)

 Deli you truly struck a nerve there sir  :D no I was not I had to work at it !! It's really good to see that so many use this stick and actually have pertinent feedback on it. You guys aren't kidding when you say it takes some getting used to. It's a lot to nto have to touch the keyboard for anything. So many programable buttons is overwhelming. The honest replies actually have me reconsidering selling it but getting shot in the arse everytime out is a real deal closer  :bhead

what was that old saying ??       it's not the equipment it's the operator :D
I'll plug her in and give it another shot for a few ticks   :airplane:

:salute to all who replied. It was really helpful.

You know you don't have to program every button to use the stick. Get use to the stick first, then figure out how you want to program all the buttons.

I might add, check out the TA it's a good place to get used to new stick configuring and flying while not being shot down. Alot of different folks in there with different setups and ideas, all willing to share and help. It might just convince you to stick with it......pun intended.. :D

Did you decide to try this setup again or is it still for sale?
My old joystick combo is finally starting to wear out and I am in the market.
