Any suggestions?

Which socket? LGA775?
Which case are you using?

I have a brand new intel cpu heatsink / fan that came with my i7-2600k, when i bought it that is still sitting in the box
the i7-2600k is an LGA1155 socket, itself..... not sure if you can use it or not but you are welcomed to it ( the heatsink/fan ) if you can

I also have a factory i5-2500k heat sink and fan you are welcome to. lga 1155. It's probably the same as TC's

Ah! You got the stock cooler and messed up the plastic pins? Is this for you or someone else? Dont use stock unless you have to! Stock coolers dont do much for getting rid of heat.
What I gave my brother but you have to have room in the case:
Intel 478 - LGA 775/1156/1366

There is a mod kit for bolt down (I recommend it) but I cant find it at the moment.

One of these will 'screw' into your mother board.

Antec also makes a pretty universal one for a couple dollars less, at least when I bought mine .
All of them come with a back plate.

Thermaltake makes the version of the Shuriken that screws down without a mod kit but still need to know your scoket.
