Thanks to wil3ur and curry1 :rock I'm slowly getting the picture of what happened and when after patching my way up step for step from 2214 to 2232
At the moment it seems one of the patches fixing AMD dual core issues actually started them for me. :headscratch:

I'm not sure what you're trying to do. But....
As you're probably aware the download page links to version 2263:
http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH2263.EXE
But if you change the 4 digits to another version, it appears they still exist on the download server. For example, the version stored on my hard drive is AH2131.EXE, when I plug that in I get:
http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH2131.EXE and it still works.
I tried a few others from wil3ur's list and they seem to work as well. So HTC is apparently keeping the old install executables available, just not linking to them directly. So, if there's a specific version you want, you can probably still get it by changing the number in the address bar.
Edit: I just downloaded version 2102, which was the version from July 2007 when I first signed up to the BBS, likely also the same time I first played. So its reasonable to assume every old version is still available. If you want a version from a certain time period you might check the Announcements forum to see which version came out when: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/board,11.0.html

There's an odd confession from a numbers and stats guy. :uhoh

I did a lil' checking and it appears that 2102 just so happened to be the last version that was released while the old freeloader 8-player H2H was still enabled. I wonder if it still works or if you needed to log in to their servers... I never did even try it.

While it has the old name it is always the most recent version.

Now that is some hax. But I think you might be right, the 2131 version I can download doesn't correspond with the filesize of the one on my hard drive. The thing that makes me doubt is the 2102 version I downloaded isn't the same byte size as the latest version, 2263. But they are so close I doubt its the original 2102. And I'm unwilling to actually uninstall/reinstall to test it.
