dudes n dudettes <insert especially fer silat> that was one BIGasz storm. weather officials say category 3 hurricane <compared to eastern hurricanes>. got a lil scared lastnite, thought my roof was going to fly off while my wife n kids were sleeping :(
thankfully we were just fine, max winds here during the night was 60mph very high waters <hope my boat is ok  >
far as i know no lives lost, heard of a northern town from us a house even tumbled over n over. some roofs blowin off in other villages severe flooding too, still praying fer the families in lower villages and towns who are close to sea level. the winds are slowly dying away now in my village. mother nature is a mean ol one when she wants to, thankfully she spared my family and friends this storm.

There have been 3 or 4 confirmed sightings of tornadoes in Alaska.
While lightning is common in the interior of Alaska, back in the 80s a lightning storm made the front page of the Anchorage paper because it was so rare here.

It's quite common to get high winds up here...quite often "hurricane strength"...other than tree limbs and some aircraft damage it usually isn't a big deal.

That's nothing. 130 mph gusts at one of the weather stations up there.
