Tonight I started to take off from A5 in a B-29 formation. I noticed a Niki coming in and slowed and stopped on the runway with a successful landing. Yet when I went choose another bomber, 134.52 perks had been deducted from my bomber score. The lead plane never left the ground and got a successful landing message. Why were the perks deducted?

Probably your drones were airborne, and you lost one or both.

The drones take off a lot sooner than you do. Also, depending on the map, the runway edge, and other factors, you can "lose" a drone on takeoff without even rolling. That still counts for perks. Best thing is to not up perked bombers from front fields, and make sure you don't lose drones with "normal" bombers before you up the perked ones.

Well that thought came to me as well, however, I thought when the lead plane landed, the drones "landed" as well, thus not deducting points.

I remember this happening to me. I sent HTC an email but they said that once you start rolling on the runway u cant abort without losing your drones. Sometimes your drones will take off before the lead plane, but in this case, it doesnt matter. U will lose ur drones if you abort the takeoff halfway down the runway.
