On the first of this month I ordered a 27 inch monitor from Amazon.com. Two days later I get an ad for the same monitor for $50.00 more, well I thought I got a bargain. Nine days after the order was placed I received a cancellation notice saying they couldn't deliver it to my address. I just spoke to customer service at Amazon .Com and they said they could ship me the monitor but not at the old price, thats when I suggested that they place the monitor up their ----. Has anyone else had this problem? Or am I just lucky? :noid

you're just lucky...4 years of shopping on amazon and i've never had an issue like that.

By the way I have lived at this address for over 30 years, and have received items from Amazon .Com :old:

Must be your luck. I have never had an issue like that before with them and I have ordered many an item from them.
However, I suspect my response would have been much like yours. Though mine would have been more like an order then a suggestion.

Call customer service and let them know you have receits for 50 prior shipments that had no problem shiping to you from amazon. Asking them why they now have a problem shiping to you a monitor that you have a contrary with them in buying.
The squeeky wheel is the one that see action, start squeeking!

gotta be careful that you don't order from an amazon marketplace vendor and only order from amazon.

I wonder if this was the situation. Amazon has been pretty much flawless for me, but when I once bought a book from a 3rd party vendor, he never sent it.

All I'm saying is if you spend some time complaining to them you will see some action. You made a deal at a certain price. They broke that agreement with the excuse that they couldn't ship to you. You have evidence that they can ship to you and have done so 50 other times with ease. You TELL them to ship you the monitor at the agreed upon price, with free over night shipping to fix their mistake. If they say no, ask to speak to their supervisor and make your request again. Continue up the chain until it is shipped to you.
It works, they screwed up and they know it. You just have to prove to them that YOU know it.

Will do it!
