Title: MS asking for confirmation of email passwords.
Post by: Getback on November 15, 2011, 01:57:41 PM
I'm getting quite a few pop-ups at desk top asking to confirm my email name and password. Wonder why that is?

Phishing program more than likely, microsft would never ask for username or PW on anything of theirs. Run a scan of your computer and see what you get.

Not normal for MS as much as we hate it.  Phish or virus.

If you're at work it could be a networking issue. I've had outlook do that a few times. Communicator and some network drives would stop responding, as if I had been logged out.

Reboot, see if it goes away. That fixes it for me.

I did a virus scan and a bot scan. Then today it was doing it again. It's not all the time just now and then.
