Played AH tonight and while in flight got a graphics glitch and the game froze. Totally locked up my system. So I rebooted. Made sure I had the basic sound package running. Deleted my video file in setting directory. Game worked and flew for about an hour and got hit with the same problem. thinking there could be a problem with my video cards or even my hard drive, after rebooting I tried World of Tanks. Played several hours with no problem so was thankful my hardware was ok. So now I'm stuck trying to figure out what is causing Aces to freeze up and lock my system.Thinking I may have to delete, download and install the last full version. Maybe something in the update didn't work right. Any ideas. Got FSO and Scenerio this weekend. :uhoh

It sounds heat related, especially if you are seeing graphic glitches just before it hangs. It could be power, but I am thinking that is the long shot.

A couple of weeks ago, I overclocked my GTX260 and after some tests everything looked fine. While playing AH (and during some video processing with Premiere Pro, I got the same exact thing - the screen "popped" and my system locked up and I had to hard-reset and reboot the PC.
I backed off the overclocking settings a little and everything has been rock solid since. So, I think Skuzzy nailed it...heat related. Could also be flaky video ram or GPU that gets wonky at higher temps.
