This was one of the original tanks the 21st Panzer Division arrived with in Africa and as such took part in the Afrikakorp's initial advance through Libya in 1941. It was an Ausf D and was painted panzer grey, with a coat of brown camo paint applied once in theater. This paint was soon worn off in places by the sand and crew clambering over it. Later Afrikakorps tanks (F and G models) were painted brown in the factory and didn't show this sort of wear. The Ausf D was broadly similar to the Ausf F1 as modelled in AH, but had slightly worse armour protection. Crews often beefed up their armour with bolted on plates or spare tracks though.
I've gone for this early Afrikakorps tank rather than an F as I think the dark grey paint wearing through makes for a more interesting skin. The terrain I've used for the screenshots is Ranger's Twin Rivers one.

Dang! love the weathering effects. You seem to be able to pump out GV skins at a good clip now post-GV update.

Thanks guys. The single colour winter and desert skins don't take long to do. It is the three colour German schemes that take the time, adjusting the edges of the different coloured areas so they align correctly over the 200 odd bits and pieces on the skin.
