That looks like a lot of fun! Sad thing is though, the injury lawyers would be lining up for the first opportunity.
-
There are at least two of those in Colorado, except they're more like sleds on a big concrete slide instead of rails.
Still a ton of fun though :)

Looks a bit meh tbh... you want this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-yVLECh6xM

Yea, more like Class Action Park :lol
I use to go there in the summers, I miss the racetrack / cars they had.
-
that place was awesome. all the water slides and they had those speed boats.
-
The St.Corona one is similar to the one we had at the Broadmoor in Co.
Mountain coaster looks much safer. Imagine riding that down pikes peak after the cog ride up.
-
Alpine Slide. I wish we had some in the states.
Good news :x your wish is granted.
I know of half a dozen ski resorts over Utah, Colorado and Wyoming that run them in the summer. Park City, UT has 4 slides on one resort, I've ridden several of them.
Granted none of them are as long as the ones in the Swiss Alps though.
-
I rode one in austria and I'm pretty sure the average american who's used to kart tracks where you keep throttle down the entire lap would vault right off the track at the first corner that requires any amount of braking.

There was one of the concrete alpine slides at Ober in Gatlinburg, TN.

We have on here in NJ thats even better then that Basically its a concrete 1/4 circle shaped track that you ride down in a little open cart about the same as in the video. You can actually steer it somewhat in the track by leaning from side to side and has a single lever between your legs for a brake.
They have it at a place thats used to be called "Action Park". that also has a bunch of water rides Dont remember what its called now. but tis at one of the Ski resorts thats used for snow skiing in the winter.
Its not uncommon to see someone all scraped up all to hell because they leaned too much into a turn or for too long too fast.
Just looked it up. Its currently called Mountain Creek Water park
Anyway. dont know if they still have it or not. Its been about 10-11 years since I took my son there
But it was identical to this
