I played the movie and I had no problems seeing any icon. You might want to post the top 1/3 of your DX here so skuzzy can see what is wrong.

BTW what are your system spec's if you dont mind me asking.

This is my dads (Hand's) computer and I dont know that much about them you might dumb it down a bit for me.

it means you probably have a crap load of stuff running in the background. Hit control, alt, delete and then select task manager. Click the processes tab at the top. in the lower left corner it will tell you how many processes you have running. The lower the number the better. If you have too many running and your computer can't keep up, it will "forget" to color icons as well as many other little problems.

If it is an Intel video chip, then the loss of color of ICONS may occur when the system resources are being swamped.  There could also be other graphical anomalies as well.
