So I wake up earlier than I wanted too this morning and thought 'I'd like some shrimp while I'm watching the Cowgirls play'... jump in the car and find shrimp on sale. 'hmmm I bet Squid and roomie would appreciate some shrimp as well'. So I bought four pounds and did a lb each of the following over mesquite smoke.
garlic cilantro
bbq
bacon wrapped
boiled
toss in some rolls and potato salad and we all have happy stomachs!!! Although garlic / cilantro does tend to create some gastric distress in most :devil Good thing we're all ensconced in our own rooms or a small spark could blow the place up.

I hate you, now im hungry

I love shrimp pretty much any way it can be fixed.

Stick some extra virgin olive oil in a pan, bring it to heat. Add Garlic and Chilli (whatever chillies you like - I prefer the medium/hot ones)
Add shrimp, keep em moving until all cooked. Sling into bowls, eat with crusty bread. Trust me, its lovely. The bread takes some of the sting out of the chili's, and you can mop up the oil with it.
Wurz (This is a recipe from Gibralter, made it a few times for friends here, it goes down well)

im a HUGE seafood fan.
My grandmother used to get these salmon steaks which were delicious. she seasoned them just right. man, i really miss em. :pray
Love any type of shrimp, salmon, that crab bread that red lobster serves, crab, pretty much anything. (I even ate octopus at an asian restaurant. Didn't really have a taste. just very chewy)

With Octopus, it has a membrane (like the squid does) lining the limbs etc, remove that and its not chewy at all. You can also flavor it as you wish.

I'm in the same boat. Just tough to get good seafood in DFW unless you're shelling out $$$$ by the boat.

You're a growing lad. Pretty much a bottomless pit. I make this pseudo ziti that consists of sausage, green bells, red bells, onions, and pasta sauce, in a huge pot about every two weeks. Makes about 15 servings. Great with a couple slices of bread or, if you have the time, with pasta noodles and cheese. Lasts Squid about two weeks along with everything else he eats.

I see you shrimp and raise you venison bacon and cheese muffins

we have a weekend long fest here about the middle of october just for shrimp, and not that popcorn shrimp you get from popeye's. these things are in the 5-10 range, got to grille to keep them from getting chewy. nothing like eating shrimp only hours old.
