Tomorrow is shaping up to be an epic battle. I think Arkansas has the edge offensively, but LSU has a better defense. I can just about guarantee you it will not be a "battle of the kickers" like the LSU-Bama game. The top three teams in the nation (LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas) not only come from the same conference (SEC), but the same division (West). This has never happened before in BCS history and only once before in the AP poll. If Arkansas can upset LSU and Bama takes care of Auburn, it will produce a 3-way tie for the SEC west title and a complete mess in the BCS system.
Brief History:
The "Battle for the Boot" is the biggest rivalry match up we face in the entire season. The Razorbacks have won the last 3 out of 4 matchups with a combined difference between scores equaling 14 points. 2 of the 4 games were decided in O/T. this game is always our last regular season game and occurs on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
With not much left to say, I'll leave y'all off with...
Wooooooooo PIG SOOIE! RAZORBACKS!

Considering they got whooped by Alabama, and considering LSU has arguably a better defense than bama, I expect Arkansas to be stiffed offensively all game

I forgot to cover that in the OP. Bama was definitely the stronger team and since they beat us by such a wide margin they will likely stay ahead of us even if we beat LSU. We would require Auburn to pull of a miracle and upset Bama Saturday for us to be ahead.
That being said, we have progessed very well ever since the South Carolina game. I feel our offense has gotten more confident and our defense has stepped it up with the return of senior starters who were out during the Bama game. Don't write the Hogs off, we beat #1 LSU in Baton Rouge back in the '07 season, we can do it again
(knocking on a lumber mill...which has long been shutdown and now being taken over by the Chinese).

Geaux Tigers!

You had to bring up the South Carolina game, didn't you? :furious
:lol
Yes, they did beat LSU 4 years ago, but both were completely different teams. I just don't think anyone in the nation has the capability to score more than 20 against LSU this season.

LOL I completely did not notice you were from SC!
Watched that game at a bar down in Honolulu, Hawai'i of all places. You wouldn't believe the amount of LSU and Alabama fans who were watching that game as well. The Kansas state vs Oklahoma game was awesome too. All in all the best day of college football I had ever seen

I am for Arkansas. If they win, this may end the BCS for good.

I just wanted to mention that Garrett Uekman, a young man who played tight end for the hogs, passed away last Sunday shortly after the Arkansas-Mississippi State game. It was determined that he had a heart attack due his heart being too large. Win or lose today, I hope all the players will conduct themselves respectfully in his memory.
As quoted by Arkansas Freshman Lineman Brey Cook, "A team with something to play for can be dangerous, but a team with SOMEONE to play for is unstoppable."

YEAH!

NO! :cry

Great game so far and in the 4th quarter. Arkansas came on strong in the first 5 minutes but LSU has been controlling most of the game so far.
-
Whoops, I think that LSU just about put it away. They are up 3 TD's and 10 minutes left.
Yup they did it. Good game. Next year is gonna be a great match up again as Arkansas coach left the field obviously very PO'd.
-
LSU was just too friggin stacked. We were looking great the first 20 minutes, but like Japan we woke up a sleeping giant. That Mathieus beat us by himself, two turnovers and a punt return. Competing with the two best teams in the nation that are in the same division and conference is just insane.
But congrats to LSU for claiming undisputed victory and the most obnoxious fan base :neener:

Never a doubt.

Never a doubt.
Uh.. Yeah, in the last 10 minutes of the game. Up until then there was plenty of doubt. At the start of the 4th quarter Arkansas was only down by 7. I know the Tiger fans had a lot of doubt web it was 14-nil and LSU was facing its largest deficit of the year.
Only in the 2nd half, 4th quarter really, did LSU overwhelm us with it's talent and full championship caliber potential

That is your opinion. A football game is 60 minutes long. Last I checked the 2nd Half is part of a football game.....
The bold quote, is sour grapes.

Some people don't appreciate something so effective as wearing down another teams line. It doesn't make for great stats or scores, but when that 4th qtr comes along, it makes all of the difference in the world. It's an effective strategy if your teams strengths are defense, special teams, and a bruising running game.
