couple things i notice. virst, you dont have a processor anywhere in that list. look into an Intel i5 with a socket type 1155. also, looking at that os it appears to be an upgrade for windows 7 home premium to professional. you need a powersupply in there too. 600 watt should do it. on that motheboard i didnt check for onboard video because im on my phone, but if there is no VGA youll need a video card. for aces high you wont need anything costing more then 175 USD. onto the ram, make sure if your board says triple channel support that you get triple channel ram. food for thought. others will be by to make other points and capitalize on this post im sure.

All the parts are listed but there is a big issue: AMD CPU with Intel Motherboard. Have to pick one or the other and I'm not up to date with the latest generation of them. Sandy Bridge upgrade is soon I think? The AMD Bulldozers are out but not sure on specs.
Personally, I would look into a better than Bronze Cert Power Supply. As I recall the Corsair Gold are really good, Seasonic is recommended a lot around here too. For GPU if you stick with Nvidia, EVGA is a personal choice of brand, great warranty and support.
Just a few things I noticed, someone will be along soon. :)

Thank you, that makes sense in your opinion would you stick with AMD or Intel? Ordering from NewEgg.com if you want to stick a link to some of the hardware I'd appreciate it.

he has the wrong mobo for that cpu. cpu will not work on that mobo. with the money you are spending, i would get a 2500k cpu would work great on that mobo. do you have a best buy anywhere near you? they sell hard drives for 1/2 that price. or have it delivered to you.

The z58 motherboards, these are newer then the 68.
http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/13-128-512-TS?$S300W$ (http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/13-128-512-TS?$S300W$) an example for the purpose of showing.
In the past I have gone for xfx or evga for the lifetime grantee. If you planning an upgrade in 3 years or less then there are other doors that open with the 3 year grantee cards.
The 460 and 6850 are midrange cards. The 560 is a better 460.
Then there is the better cards 570, 560 Ti, 6950, 6970.
I would go for the sandy bridge if I was going to spend 200 on CPU and get 4 gig RAM for your windows home office OS. I am guessing its 32 bit OS. Might as well max it out, the prices are cheap enough with the sales.
Get the correct RAM for the motherboard.
I also notice the monitor has 5ms. The 5 ms could cause a bit more latency. 2ms would be better for gaming. ( Don't think it would be necessary) Someone with more knowledge on response times with monitors can add to this.

As mentioned, the 2500k is the processor you want. The z58s are also newer/better, also as mentioned.
You have a 1000Watt PSU. You hardly need that for this basic system. You have a single CPU, a single GPU, 1 HDD, and nothing really needing 1000W of power. You can get a 500W and still be happy. If you want to hedge your bets for future upgrades/additions, go 600-700 range, but save yourself a load of change on this.
Another thought: The NZXT Phantom is a MASSIVELY huge case. I mean MASSIVELY huge. Check the external dimensions. It is mostly a good case, and I have it myself, but darned if it doesn't almost touch the underside of my desk when I set it on the floor. It also is too big to recess under the desk fully. I hate the HDD layout, as there's really no room for the drives and the cables that feed the drives when you close the door. Look into a smaller case, maybe? If you *do* decide to go with the Phantom, get some electrical tape and tape over the blue power LEDs on the fan speed sliders on the top. Black those out entirely. It will save your eyes. Also be VERY careful closing the door until you know it won't snap off your SATA cables on the HD. Get some 90-degree cables if you can.

personally I'd stay away from AMD and stick with Intel, Read here http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,321918.0.html

I have to agree with Krusty and Semp about the processor, but I think the reason why he is going with a 1000 watt is option to upgrade in the future. When I bought my 950 i only had 1 of each too, and then i bought 2nd vid card 2nd hard drive water cooling lights and 2nd CD/DVD drive, and i still can put a 3rd vid card if needed. Also The case is a monster and lots of airflow, you cant go wrong with the Phantom case.

hey Dep,
since the AMD bulldozer is a fail right now, also the phenom2 is an aging architecture, i would say get an intel-based system. I5-2500K sounds fair, if youre not converting a LOT of videos, you really dont need the i7.
Choose your motherboard very carefully, avoid every compatibility problems!
As for the GPU, i wouldnt buy the gtx 560, thats just a 460 OC-ed. The 560 ti looks much better, if you have a couple more bux for it. Or a hd 6950 : )
1000W PSUs are designed to run tripple-SLIed systems. Even if youre planning a massive upgrade, a 700-750W brand one should be enough to run 2 gtx560ti-s without a problem. But then make sure your mobo has two "full" x16 pci express slots.
Best luck!

I wouldn't say that the buldozer is a failure, seems to me from what I have read the CPU does fine with multithreaded applications.

no you want the 2500k not the 2500 as the K is the one that will overclock. also if I may suggest to go to best buy and get the monitor any problems such as you dont like the image you can return it easily and prices are not really that different. I strongly suggest a little more power on the ps.
it's this one, it's out of stock but I would contact td see if he has one or I would just wait for it.

If you want to save some money look into this board... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157265
It has pci 3.0slots as well. It does NOT have bluetooth capabilities however so if that is something you will actually use this board may not be for you. This is the P67 chipset which is really all you need as the z68 has onboard video but you wont be using due to having a dedicated video card. Also the z68 is capable of using an ssd hard drive as cache which I have yet to see anyone do as SSDs are still expensive. That is pretty much the only difference. The p67 chip will overclock that cpu just fine as well. Both Lawndart and I have this Mobo and I have no complaints what so ever. It will save you $55 on features you wont use anyway. If you do use bluetooth you can buy a usb adaptor for about $12.
-
My rig is similar to your last update. I have the Deluxe model of that board and love it. I've always had good luck with Asus mobos. Went with 2600-K processor. Glad to see you upgraded to the 64-bit OS. I have the same RAM. I went with the 1000w modular Gold Series OCZ PSU. A bit large for my app but I was thinking of future expansion. The PSU won't draw a full 1000w at all times it just has the capacity to deliver it if needed. I do run 3 standard HDDs, a pair of SSD's (one I have as cache drive in ISRT), an external drive and a ton of fans in my cm690-II advanced case. I went with a single MSI R6950 video card but that's a potato potahto thing. I found my rig insofar as AH goes to be like killing a fly with a bazooka. Don't need HP like this unless you're running other games or apps that require it.

GC do you really think he cares much about overclocking? I mean the guy doesn't know that an AMD processor won't fit an Intel motherboard.. do you really think he needs to be worried about overclocking?
(No offense OP this wasn't a stab at you)

hey I do care, I've learned that overclocking is being able push past the stated 3.3 ghz right? It's a learning process and I'm glad we have people here sharing knowledge I appreciate it. It's my first build and I'm excited about it, might be a new hobby :D

GC do you really think he cares much about overclocking? I mean the guy doesn't know that an AMD processor won't fit an Intel motherboard.. do you really think he needs to be worried about overclocking?
(No offense OP this wasn't a stab at you)
he may not know but he's willing to learn. that's why he posted here. 2 years ago i coudnt tell you if my intel computer had an amd or not. and to be honest i thought amd was the lower price intels :salute. but regardless for 20 more bucks he gets a better processor.

Same kind of situation here in NC & in FL when dealing with TigerDirect......... ( quit dealing with them many moons ago )
TnDep,
You probably can find everything you have selected even cheaper ( it will take you a few more hours researching/price comparing ), although you will be having your parts not all coming from the same place.............. but in any case, since you are going to be ordering online, I would recommend you wait and see if any / all your components prices drop on "Cyber Monday" , first of the week....... it's considered the same as black friday for the department/electronics stores etc.......
anyways best of luck!

The cyber should start Monday if not even before. I will say that some of the stuff at newegg with sales tax may be cheaper then other retailers. As for instance the seasonic PSU. Not that another PSU would work for you on another site.
I am not going all over the WEB and search, just food for thought.
There are sites like slickdeals, pricewatch, and others which post deals and prices. Takes time and research.

First off Amazon has a facility in Tennessee also...sales tax is just something that you might have to deal with. Especially if you want it all to ship together. NewEgg has to charge you sales tax; its the law of the land.
Secondly...if you want to save a few bucks then take a look at a different motherboard in the same class. ASUS is good stuff but so is Gigabyte, EVGA, etc... also just because someone said to get a Z series motherboard doesn't mean go get it. They are brand new and priced like it. If you do decide that you want that then take a look at this one on NewEgg that is there today for $179....it is an ASUS as well http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131792
You can get a EVGA GTX 460 for $169 off NewEgg that will run everything out there and save you some cash; plus you can use it as a PhysX GPU at a later date if you choose to upgrade your video card. Not that AH will support the PhysX anytime soon since that is a complete re-write of the code.

I thought about that semp (Home Premimum Edition) but almost everyone is buying the Professional Edition. Figured while I'm buying might as well get the best

How do you describe "the best"? The Ultimate edition has even more features than Pro. Look at this Microsoft comparison table (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/compare). The question is, do you need to run XP business programs in XP mode or connect extra securely to a business network or do backups to a network instead? If you answered yes to any of these, buy pro.
The main difference between home and pro versions has always been managing computers via network. If you don't use more than one computer, or if you aren't going to manage one computer with another (meaning remotely installing programs and such), pro is just a waste of money. Sharing files can be done with any Windows version.
AH may actually run better on Home, since it doesn't run all the administrative stuff in the background. And if you plan to disable them anyway for extra performance, why pay for them?

good point, best is the wrong word "most common purchase" more people bought professional didn't really look at the comparison, I'll call newegg today and see if I can get that swapped.

Awesome looking setup you got ordered, TnDep
be sure to go download the most recent firmware for your Crucial M4 128GB SSD ( Rev 9 I think it is )....... it will really boost the performance even better than what they originally claim
I have 4 of those my self, and love em ( 1 PC has 2 in RAID 0 mode, and then 1 each in 2 other PCs )
you should update the firmware before you load anything at all...... burn the firmware to a cd and it will boot and update automatically
* BUT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS WORD FOR WORD * be sure you have your IDE/ SATA settings adjusted just like it tells you to do, after update you can set them however you desire then load your OS
hope this helps
