just grab someone else's pen :noid
would this be like assassination?
-
How the hell have I made it this far without a diploma? :headscratch:
You don't need some over-payed academia hermit's permission to be successful. F*** the system.
Oh, do you mean HS Diploma? Dude, those are handed out for free. The only way you can not get one nowadays is to quit HS altogether.

No, that was the iPod. And he didn't lose it, he was mugged. Pay attention.
Maybe you should be taking notes. Where's your pen?

Same.
I confused my teachers so much. Because i'd sleep through class, yet ace the test.

This sorta' talk always reminds me of http://comedians.jokes.com/daniel-tosh/videos/daniel-tosh---dose-of-reality

Studying is bad karma for me as well, never failed a test I didn't study for
-
I do much better when I study, but I have to study right. Cramming as much info into my skull as possible the night before is not the right way. I did better when I'd drill myself using the text book or my notes twice a week or so, whether or not there was a test coming up.
-
speaking of grades here, my world cultures teacher makes sure we have the easiest tests to take, im not sure whats wrong with him...but a 3 year old could pass these tests and get a 100% on it without even trying.
my science teacher on the other hand...my gawd lay off with the college material lady!!! :bhead

My Chemistry teacher was a Dr. and I learned more from him than anyone else. Kids always complained that he was teaching college level stuff but that wasn't true. He taught it like it was a college class but the material was straight from the state curriculum, he treated us like we were adults, and expected us to learn the material one way or the other. Seeing him after school or during lunch was fine, and I took up that opportunity several times. The way he taught the class and designed the tests meant if you didn't take the class seriously, you failed. Kids always had excuses like learning disorders and lack of time, but I did most of my studying in school while everyone else was gossiping and playing with their phones and I figured out a way to know the information that worked for me.
I learned a lot more than Chemistry in that class, it was my favorite class in HS because it was actually a challenge and I only got rewards for actually working. Shocker.

thats your case, the stuff my teacher is shelling out to us is CPS. (college prepatory science) and is borderline college material. she has to teach the normal stuff mixed in with this. the CPM that our algebra teacher gives us is normal and has to be taken at this grade level. But it really isnt that bad, its geometry so it really shouldnt be hard to do in the first place.

It'd be best to just embrace the new knowledge you have the opportunity to gain.

I've got two I can reach right now. Unfortunately I have nothing to write on :)

sometimes i just let it all soak in, but believe me, i dont need to know CPS with the way im going later on. yes its good to know it, but its not 100% needed i dont need to know more than 20% of what she's teaching us later on.
I've got two I can reach right now. Unfortunately I have nothing to write on :)
WRONG!!!! you have 3 things to write on! the desk, monitor and the wall! :lol

the only writing utensil was a pen, but it was lost, so no notes, then failed the test because of the notes not being there.

i wouldnt be laughing if i were you.
your RC car was stolen right under your nose when it was outside of the garage, beaten to pieces apparently, burned to a crisp, covered in sand and mud that hid all evidence of the car being burned and beaten, then found by a friend who knew exactly what it looked like on a hidden away, hardly used dirt trail somewhere in the woods. such an interesting story. and all this happened because your dad didnt want the oil that you easily could have washed off with a hose and a rage outside then dried, taken inside and kept safe, but instead you decided to leave it sit outside overnight all exposed and such then have it stolen. not to mention you didnt do more than tell us about it and then asked your mommy for a new one.
thats funny.

Everyone born AFTER the stone age. :devil :noid

I was on the cutting edge when I went to college in 1988 with my mini cassette recorder. I let it run during lectures, then played it back to take notes later. I had a Brother typewriter that had a small amount of memory and a one line LCD screen. It was an early word processor. The other guys in my dorm thought I was a hot stuff rich guy... :rofl

I had a physics teacher like that. My AP US history teacher was like that as well. It wasn't until much later that I appreciated what I learned in that class.
Teachers that prepare you for the real world are much better than those who give out mind-numbing busy work according to a certain curriculum

when i didn't want my grand pop to trash his 67 mustang due to a blown engine....i got a job. he eventually gave me that car. when i wanted to hop it up./.....i worked more hours. when i broke it beyond fixing, i got an extra job to get another one.
when i had a new 1983 mustang 5 liter, i wanted a garage to put it in. i had at one point 4 jobs in order to earn the money to put one up, and paid off bills at the same time.
it seems that the only thing i know how to do well, is work.....but that's a good thing.
